I sliced up the pork tenderloin roast and am pan frying the pieces. Normally I sear it in the pan and finish in the oven. It's 80+ inside because my AC needs replaced. The oven is not going on.
I might just make a sandwich. I have no desire to cook or do anything.
We've been waiting over a week on the final quote and a date for the install. I can't open the windows because the pollen levels are sky high and I'm struggling with allergies as it is.

hugs, lady. that sucks. I picked up takeout on my way in to work today, Chinese rice noodles with chicken. I got a small, killed it, and I'm still hungry. not sure whether to go ice cream or Cheez-its next.

It's LOBSTER SEASON! Sales on lobster everywhere. I bought a nice big one for $6.52, so that will be supper......with garlic butter and rice. They're practically giving them away. Buy three, get one free.

Wow, I can't even imagine lobster that cheap.
I just had cheeseburgers, hamburger for me and fried potatoes for dinner.
Also a fresh pitcher of tea, about it.

Lobster from the Gaspé Peninsula is lovely and quite sweet. They're raised on rocks and not mud, in very cold water. I intend to eat as much as I can, for as long as I can. In the winter, it's unaffordable.

Tonight is taco salad. I have everything on hand. We head out of town for two nights on Friday so I thought we should eat in tonight while we have the chance to do so.

I made a pot roast yesterday, so tonight will be day two of the pot roast. I had a round roast in the crock pot all day, and mid afternoon i threw in some potatoes, carrots, celery and corn.
Tomorrow I am debating between some leftover chicken enchiladas that have been in the freezer way to long, or tacos.

BLT. I went by the curb market and picked up lettuce and a bag of pretty, pretty tomatoes. The prices were high, but the produce was so pretty! When my sister comes in about 10 days, she and I will go there and buy tons of fresh veggies that she can't get in NM.

I roasted two cut up broccoli crowns (garlic powder, tons of crushed red pepper, EVOO) and mixed that into two boxes of Kraft dinner. most of that will become drunk munchies for the weekend. I'm expecting a job offer on Tuesday, and the friend that's coming up for the weekend is getting a later start than planned b/c she buried her cat tonight. there will be lots of alcohol, for good and sad.

I have been using spaghetti the last few days. To break from monotony I made pesto pasta.

Tonight cooked out, I have a nice grill and don't use it nearly enough.
I fried potatoes on the side burner, put sausage stuffed with cheese on the
grill. Heated some spinach, added vinegar, and some lima beans. It was pretty
good and quick. Now getting ready to clear the table, shower, and try to fix my
tooth. Didn't want to do it till I wasn't eating or drinking for awhile.

don't know what's on the menu tonight, but it will be something here at home. this weekend's been expensive. dinner last night was at the Italian place up the street. four of us, one birthday girl, three bottles of wine and a bunch of small plates. M and I split that bill, $150 on my card.

I've finished the taco salad nights, so will work on the pantry clean out for a few days. Lunch today was a can of chicken sausage soup and when looking at the expiration date on a few things, tonight will be tomato basil soup with 1/2 chicken salad sandwich.

Tomorrow night: Bacon wrapped ricotta stuffed chicken breasts w/ sauteed zuch. Cost approx $6 for 4 servings
Thurs: Salmon (sale) with roasted turnips. Cost approx $7 for 2 servings.
Friday: Take out from? DH buys
Sat: Ribeye (from the value pack a few weeks ago) w/ a side veggie. Cost approx $9 for 2.
Sun: Something with ground beef. 0.00?
Have a fantastic week, everyone!

Wednesday maybe a grilled chicken salad or something.
Still dying with 80+ temperatures in my house.

Still waiting on AC but I wanted to get back on track this week. It's not looking so good though. I have appointments through Wednesday. Friday I leave town for the weekend and DH is on his own.
Tonight I'll grab take out from somewhere after my massage appointment. DH will eat his leftovers from Saturday night.

I'm tired of cooking. Last week I bought macaroni and potato salads for H. to eat. I haven't been low carb for a while but don't eat bread or those salads. I'll buy a precooked beef brisket from Sam's Club. I get a lot of servings from it and we both really like it. I freeze half of it in meal size portions. My favorite is chicken salad with loads of veges.

I met my college friends for lunch today, Asian small plates "buffet" for $15pp including tip. I won't need much for dinner tonight, so I brought in a microwave-safe bowl and a can of Progresso lemon chicken and orzo soup. there's still some soup crackers in my desk drawer, so I'm good there.

I stirred a small container of pasta salad with shredded rotisserie turkey into a big container of mixed greens. I like the ratios, this may be a repeat occurrence over the summer

Last night we had sandwiches since I was baking. We avoided getting take out.
Tonight I'm making Budget Bytes black bean tacos. Cost approximately $3-4.
Wednesday night beef and broccoli. Cost $10.
I need to see what other proteins I have in the freezer. Still waiting on the HVAC guy but the temperature has dropped a bit. I can tolerate cooking.
I'm working on a big pantry shopping list. The refund from Direc TV came on a prepaid debit card. I want to wipe it out in one shot.
