The treadmill at my apt complex's workout room is set on a permanent incline. It's weird. I'm certain it's just because whoever put it together didn't know what they were doing. The incline is minimal, but it's just enough when I run on it, it causes my knee to hurt. I'm super bummed because the weather has been so crappy that I don't/can't/won't drive across town to the gym every time I want to go.

This reminds me of a return I did at the PT job.
Customer: I have an elliptical to return. Can someone go to my car and get it?
Me: Sure! Is there anything wrong with it?
Customer: Yeah. It's a piece of shit.
Me: I'm sorry. In what way?
Customer: It makes this awful noise and it doesn't move smoothly. (Hands me a plastic bag) Here are all the extra pieces and the instruction manual.
I just smiled and processed the return thinking "you're not supposed to have extra pieces dumbass." Why do I subject myself to the general public?

I shoveled my mom's driveway this morning, as it was up to 3-4 inches. I'm going to do mine a later this afternoon, as it has less and it's still coming down. Going to try to work out too. My weight is not budging because I'm eating like crap. Figure I'll buckle down for lent. I just can't with this weather being so cold all of the time. Should average about 10 degrees more next week.

I think I easily walked 4 miles over the course of the day yesterday. It was the Eagles' Super Bowl parade day. 😁 I walked to the train station at the beginning of the line instead of getting on in my town (which is second stop of the line). That was 1.3 miles. Then we did a shit ton of walking once we got off the subway. Finally settled into a spot around 9:30, and waited nearly three hours for the parade. Worth it!
Does wiggling your toes to keep them warm count as exercises? We also did a lot of bouncing in place.

The fact that you waited in the cold for 3 hrs should triple or quadruple your exercise for the day. The bouncing and toe wiggling definitely counts.

I skipped my AM workout yesterday but today I did 30 mins of hands-free yoga. I'm starving already. I knew cereal was a bad choice, yet I had it anyway.

Definitely time to buckle down. The scale in the doctor's office Wednesday was not nice! And I booked 4 nights in Cancun in mid April.

Checking in:
I met most of my goals for the week. Drank at least 100 oz of non-caffeinated liquid a day. So far, I haven't noticed any benefit, but I'll stick with it another week. Did almost 79,000 steps. Much easier with the weather we've been having. I'm up to 2:20 on the planks, but I can't seem to move past that. I'll keep that one another week too. I didn't get to the gym AT ALL but I had a really nice weekend getaway, which I needed more (I tend to only make it to the gym on the weekends. Must do something about that!!!).
So this week:
Keep up with the water consumption, planks, and steps. GO TO THE GYM for goodness sakes!!!! Meh, that's enough.
Have a great week everyone!

Well, this was my first week of exercising after coming back from vacation. I exercise in the morning with a Leslie Sansone workout from You Tube. This week I did 3 miles during four days, Wednesday I just couldn't get up. So the goal this week is to do 4 miles each day, bring it to five days, and keep doing my walks during lunch break.

Finished my 6 week plan that started Jan first. Down 7.8 lbs... but more importantly, 17 INCHES! (Despite being on the last day of my period!) Pleased with my results and looking forward to moving on to a custom plan now.
Truly learned that a macros based approach is everything! And it begins and ends with food. You simply can't outrun a shitty diet. I didn't get in many workouts during my 6 week, nothing in the last 2 weeks, but I dropped a size and feel great.
Looking forward to adding my workouts back again. Higher macros i my custom p lan support more activity!

Today is my last day of steroids and I finished the antibiotic yesterday. I'm feeling better so hopefully I get more steps and water in this week.

Six week check-in: I'm down a total of 5 pounds with 10 still to go. Eating has been going well and I've swapped out my morning omelette for a cup of Greek yogurt topped with raspberries, mango and blueberries. I had to find an alternative breakfast because I'd eaten so many eggs the thought of more was starting to make me gag! I don't know how the SAHM's do it because I have a much better diet during the week at work when I plan everything out for the day. This past Saturday I took the girls to see Peter Rabbit and then we ate at Johnny Rockets. Yesterday, we had lunch at a burger bar. I do not eat that way during the week!

I've lot 7 pounds since the beginning of the year. It should be more, but I had a few just okay weeks in there. This week I actually meal prepped my food for the day. I am hoping that is the key. I hope that if I have a plan I'll stick to it. When I just play it by ear and track points I end up going over.

I also ordered these shorts that do your measurements. I'll let you know how they work! My biggest issue with them is they don't do a thigh measurement. I finally caved and decided to try them anyway. Like A Glove

I purchased a shred plan from gaugegirltraining.com so the actual macros are private info that i cannot share. The plan is designed for fat loss so protein is high carbs are lowish. Everyone that did the plan (there was a comp) has extremely noticeable differences between day 1 and 42. Whether they worked out or not (the last 2 weeks aren't actually designed to support much activity)... INCHES were lost!

Measurements and changes in body composition are what I am really after. Only me and my Dr. see the scale so i DGAF what that number is.

Yeah, I don't know how some people eat eggs every day. I was supposed to make Ful Medammes (sp?) for breakfast but realized that my tahini paste was expired. I'll have to grab some tonight.

It sounds good (I love beans) but I wouldn't have imagined it as a breakfast food. I might give it a try. Thanks!

It sounds good (I love beans) but I wouldn't have imagined it as a breakfast food. I might give it a try. Thanks! I know you're not originally from America so I'm not sure how much this applies to you, but IMO there are certain foods in this country that are thought of as "breakfast foods" - cereal, fruit, oatmeal, eggs, bacon, pancakes/waffles/French toast.... lots of sweet things and relatively simple carbs - ESPECIALLY cereal. It's taking a lot of work for me to get out of that "only eat X foods for breakfast" head space.
