I'm off again; this time a solo Tahoe (Lake) Rim Trail 9TRT) backpacking trip. From Echo Lake (S. Lake Tahoe) to Mt. Rose Summit. About 89 miles over 8 days. Entire trail is about 165 miles but I didn't want to be on the trail for 2+ weeks. The trail follows a lot of the Pacific Crest Trail and is a connector north of the John Muir Trail that I hiked last year.
With the photobucket changes I don't know that I'll be posting pics when I get back home (Sept 21st) but didn't want anyone to wonder what happened to me.
You all have fun!

Let us know when you get back. Don't want to sit here wondering if you met up with a bear or what other creatures are lurking out there in the woods.
Have a great time.

Save your images on village.photos/ that's recommended by ProBoards Support over this CrapBucket Fiasco.

I'm baaaaaaaack! I had a blast. Views were amazing! I felt really strong and actually hiked out one day early. I'm glad I did because it started to get cold. We drove out in snow this morning. <brrrr/1> I met some wonderful people along the trail. I'll be downloading and organizing my photos over the next couple of days and will try posting to the site Jaguar recommended. Great trip and glad to be home.

Is this the other 76ish miles? Exactly. Basically the Eastern half of the TRT from Tahoe Meadows (just below the Mt. Rose Summit) to the Echo Lakes TH.

Is this the other 76ish miles? Exactly. Basically the Eastern half of the TRT. That would make for some significant days. How exciting! Enjoy

Exactly. Basically the Eastern half of the TRT. That would make for some significant days. How exciting! Enjoy Yeah, I think my average is going to be about 12 miles over 8 days. I'll have some 14 mile days and a little extra mileage because I will walk out and again in along Tunnel Rd (near Incline Village) because of water and camping concerns. The good news is my first day will be with only a day pack since I'll cheat and stay at our motel in Incline for a second day. That will give me a chance to acclimate without a pack which should be nice.
Water is going to be a real concern. I've planned accordingly but I might still need to cache in a couple of places.

I'm just about a week out. Driving to Lake Tahoe on Labor Day. I will only be on the Trail six days averaging about 13 miles each day. Total hike will be around 80 miles. Then we head down to So. CA again to deal with some family stuff. My cat won't know me!

I'm out! 80 miles in 5 days. Met some very nice people on the trail. A couple of blisters but otherwise no problems. Great weather too!😎
