hahah PI.. to be honest, i don't care if it's off topic or not.. the whole thing was why was ONE reported and not the other.. that's all Ok but I am still healing from a good old fashioned butt kicking this AM from mkitty and was trying to let Old Ed know don't let that tiger who is not mkitty and no cat out of her cage again....I think her cat tinkled on her Cheerios this AM and it is not a good thing or to be near her is even worse...believe me on this one..

A good strategy might be to pet the kitty. It's actually a lesson that I have decided to employ, based on some solid advice.

I do like that comment about when I said "one man's opinion" and mkitty said " Just like an Asshole everyone has one"....she must have been a woman marine DI at either Parris Island SC or San Diego CA...because I recall a lot of her digs ..and got them before..

Marshabar, where did you claim anyone was off topic? I do not see any message that suggested "off topic".
If this was PM to a mod, why was it publicly posted? I would PM a mod for my question, but I am sure others here might be wondering the same thing. I also see quoting Bible verse and debating such things are now allowed. Correct? I am glad to see drifting off topic is allowed. On the old board, we did, but sometimes the thread would be shutdown for it. Sometimes the "drift " was more interesting than the original thread....... Thanking you for a response in advance

Isn't a long, protracted discussion about being "off topic" ... off topic?

There is something really wrong with you eddieTennesseer for saying that my posts have been off topic because my posts in this thread have been on the subject of the mistreatment of those Egyptian women who came out of their homes hoping to forge a new place in the world for themselves.

I guess it's okay around here to tell people what you think about them?

Okay I'll play a little bit.
Discussion: Yes,Savoir,"even" I can see the difference. I just read the Alaskan piece before reading this post. How would you prosecute the case if you suspected a woman of having sex before she was married?
Discussion: I do not know and I could really care less. A physician can do an examination to see if the hymen is intact.
Discussion: Please don't give the conservatives any ideas.
Discussion: Ha! More likely the liberals. They could add it to Obamacare and task the IRS with implementation. They'll be probing your business anyway.
Discussion: If it wasn't for the leftist feminists we would still allow spousal rape. I wonder how many male conservatives took on that cause?
Discussion: I wonder why the left is so supportive of Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood? I guess they're open to hanging gays and stoning rape victims if they're Muslim.
Discussion: That's exactly right! Not to mention the left supports the treatment of women as property by fundamentalist Muslims, and they want American courts to uphold these Muslim mens' "rights" to rape and beat their wives and kill their daughters for "honor", all in the name of "religious tolerance"...
Off topic: There is something really wrong with you eddie.[/u]
I don't usually read posts that are derailing a discussion and there are some contributors whose posts I never read. I guess if someone else was "off topic" I missed it.

Indeed that's off topic, but I have become inured to the personal attacks from certain left-wing hate mongers/bigots on the board. I guess I just don't even notice it anymore...

I'm not sure what your point is, ugo. Are you attempting to imply some sort of moral equivalence? The virginity tests were a form of harassment designed to shame these young women into silence. They were told in the square where they went to celebrate a million woman march with other women around the world that they should go home where they belong. Probably an old law that isn't actually enforced anymore...and I love how when something comes up that is actually happening in other countries, someone else tries to imply it's somehow the same as what happens here.

No,It just reminded me of the article I had just read about prosecuting people that have sex before marraige, that's all. I was accused of being off topic also, and felt like I had to then explain that in order to prosecute, you would have to have a virginity test.Sometimes these boards are taken way too seriously,imo......

I didn't find you off topic, ugo. I wasn't quite sure where you were going but it seemed to be about virginity and authority. You expanded the topic to include American politics which is perfectly appropriate I would think.

yes but the hymen can be broken via other means besides intercourse (riding a bike/horse, other exercise, tampon use) so that is not a good indicator.

Didn't Princess Diana have to pass a virginity test before she married old Chuckie? Where was the outrage from everyone then?

You think the feminists just walked in one day and requested the law be changed and that was it? It is a very valid question- male conservatives have always had a vested interest in control of women and their bodies. And you know what? They still do.
