Actors as politicians. With the track record, what can you expect. I could not agree more. Just because someone may be a good actor does not mean that they should be elected to public office. What exactly do people expect from someone with zero political experience?

if it were to become part of Mexico again would there be a requirement that the congressional delegation along with the state legislature go with it?

Why should any state be forced via the federal govt. to bailout another state? This is just surreal, it makes no sense to be fiscally conservative in this country. Why save and invest here when the debtors confiscate by force of arms? I really, really, REALLY wish my state and other surrounding ones would get the balls to secede. Forget nullification, forget Amendments, just peacefully call a statewide referendum to secede and be done with this unbridled financial terrorism.

Not from there ..but like Obama , wasn't he handed a lousy card hand when he took over...and if so..the people of California and their ideas over the many administrations with their demands of what they wanted from the state government and in fact demanded, a good part of the problem? It seems now, I think new Governor is Brown again, nothing like a oldie and goodie, only solution is to test the courts, put in emergency powers, mandate problem solving edicts , executive authority, emergency powers, to get to these problems. If it means cuting pension, pay , entitlements, where the problems seem to lie, even if the teachers , state police, unions, strikes, so be it. Stand firm, hire new teachers , police , whoever under what what ever new wages and benefits California can afford and if no education for a year so be it, and see how the courts work it out. It doesn't seem as if the legislature will give up any of their power and to continue as it is now, just not going to work. To put it all on Arnold..doesn't compute to me..I put it on the people..they demanded , the legislature gave them what they wanted with no thought as to how to pay for it, and this has been going on for many administrations..possible back to when Ole Jerry was governor before.
