I had a meatless salad for lunch. I have my apple sitting out on my desk waiting for snack time. It's too cold to eat right now.

And can I say that I love Chiver for her salad containers idea. It makes getting a lunch together in the morning easier and the other day when I wasn't feeling cooking, Thing 2 ate a salad instead of going through a drive through. I can also see it coming in handy when cooking as vegetables are already chopped. Woot!

my sciatic issues are starting to flare up again. I can't seem to sit comfortably anymore. As much as I want to burn all the calories, I may need to go back to a predominately yoga workout routine and... sigh... eat better.

i spent about $50- that honestly went on a credit card. luckily my work dress code changed to "dress for your day" and since I don't typically meet with anyone, jeans are okay for day to day. thank goodness since i can wear them during the week and on weekends! so i found a sale and grabbed a couple of pairs of skinny jeans and solid tops. Is there a resale near you that you could check out to get a few things to hold you over? it sucks to have to shell out for better clothes, but if you can swing a few things, then i think it helps you feel better! actually I could just shop at our company stores since I get a discount. I need a few more stretchy skinny pants and tunics, and I could get them there... but most of the styles are so old-ladyish that I usually don't find stuff I like. honestly, my fave thing to shop for is workout clothes. I just bought these in a few colors - 3/4 sleeve tunics - for $15 apiece off Amazon. I know it says "plus size" but the sizing goes down to Small and my size-16 body is wearing a 2X (right now, actually...the steel blue ) I'm right there with you on having a "uniform" of skinny jeans and tunics this spring. or swing dresses and leggings, until it's warm enough that I don't need the leggings anymore. I'm all about cheap and easy clothing as I lose inches.

I am back in 14 pants and XL tops :mad: :eek: :thumbdown: Alright. Let me look through The Pile. What do you need - work or casual? LOL "The Pile" with our new "dress for your day" dress code, I am pretty casual for work. Most days i wear jeans and a sweater or cute top - definitely not business wear, but no tshirts or anything. I honestly am hoping desperately to be back in to the 12s in April, I can return anything you send to your DH so you can donate for the tax write off (if you still do that.) or can send cash! Thanks for having babies and gaining weight... twice now, I end up with some of your "losing baby weight" items.

I'm thinking about making tuna casserole for dinner since it's Ash Wednesday and Thing 2 likes it. I'm sure it's no good for me, but I haven't had fast food all week so I'm rationalizing too. Plus, I took a frozen pizza out of the freezer last night to cook for myself and when I saw that it was 700 calories I put it back in the freezer and just didn't eat. do you guys ever make pizza yourselves? i have a super easy recipe for a quick pizza dough. Since DH and like different toppings and i am not supposed to have dairy we can customize it. and it is way yummier than frozen pizza. and so cheap!

Please share! allrecipes.com/recipe/20171/quick-and-easy-pizza-crust/NOTE- I throw the crust in for about 10 minutes til it starts to brown before I add toppings. I roll it out pretty thin and think it turns out well. also- you can add some herbs/garlic in the crust too, jazz it up lol

Day 1 of my diet has already gone off the rails trying to adhere to Lent. Guess I should do one or the other. I did say I was going to give up my wine/Cheetos habit for Lent. We'll see how that one goes. On the bright side, I did a full workout today--55 minutes. Feeling good about that, partly because I always feel awesome after doing this particular workout, if I do the whole dvd.

She has great recipes and most of them are common ingredients. She's also big into trying stretch meat and vegetarian dishes.
I'm making black bean and roasted pepper quesadillas for dinner instead of ordering pizza like I wanted to. Like Meghan said it's about balance and I had pizza Sunday.

I made tuna salad for dinner tonight and I don't care how many calories are in it. I didn't eat very much today and went to the gym. I did 1.5 miles on the elliptical and an hour of Zumba. I have over 13K steps in already and the evening isn't over yet.

Weighed today and I'm 165.2! Yay! 5 more pounds and I should be another size down to put me in a 12. I'll be as thin as Thing 2!. I'll still weigh more than her though as she's about 150, but I'm mostly muscle at this point and just have to get the fat off of the muscle underneath. I'm pretty excited!

I'm toying with the idea of jumping in on this challenge, too. If I can do Savers, I can do losers. I think.
In the past year I've lost 25 pounds that had put me over to my highest non-pregnant weight. So I'm glad for that, and determined to go down another 15 this year. I should be okay at that point. I also want to do some types of exercising beyond walking the dog. I had a knee injury and developed shoulder bursitis/tendonitis, both since resolved, but I will have arthritis in my knees and that shoulder from here on out. So running, I can't do any more, really. Yoga would be good, and/or weights. I am not a member of a gym.
I've been losing weight by intermittent fasting: 2 or 3 non-consecutive days a week I eat no more than 500 calories. Other days, I eat as I please. This has really worked well for me once I got used to it. Need to drink a lot, but there are a surprising number of choices on the 'fasting' days. I'm planning on keeping it up for the last 15 pounds, then go down to one - two days/week restricted eating to stay there. And when I can get DH to join in, we both happily lose.

Is the days of not eating really all that healthy? Have you asked your doctor about this? My doctor's good with it. The important thing is to get enough fluids, and also to not go for days in a row without eating. Intermittently seems to work better even than just reducing calories every day, at least for me.

I checked out the site and pinned a few things. She has an Adobo Chicken recipe that I use on a pork roast instead. I'd eat it on everything honestly I like that she doesn't require anything too expensive and I get new ideas.
