Not that I can speak now, but in the before children time I LOVED early morning workouts. It made me feel like work was just an errand that had to get done, but I was living life for myself. I've always loved to eat, and eat early, so I used to eat about 80% of my calories before leaving work. Light dinner and I was good. Now there is no way that I could get in a workout before work. Hell, I can't get in a workout after work or on the weekends, on days off... I don't want my salad. I don't really want my soup either, but think I'll go that route and try to push through. I just can't haul myself out of bed early! I stay in bed until the very last minute possible. I've always been that way. I WANT to workout early but I just can't make myself leave the comfort of my amazing bed. I wake up ridiculously early and end up playing with my phone or trying to fall back asleep. No way am I motivated enough to workout then. I said that I was going to the gym Sunday morning and when it came time, I admitted to myself that I'm not motivated enough and cleaned the house instead.

I love working out first thing in the morning because most of the time I have no energy after work, and when I have DS there is no time to fit one in at night. I can manage morning workouts most days of the week. Since I work out at home, I really don't have a good excuse. I literally get up, put on my workout clothes, walk to the living room, turn on YouTube, and choose a workout. Sure, I have to get up at 5:35 to get in a weekday morning workout, but I never regret it when I'm done. Oh, and I don't eat anything beforehand and that's never been an issue.

Pants I did not bring shame to myself! Got to the gym. It was so much busier than I'm used to, but I got my full circuit in and feel good. I took an extra protein snack to work, so I wasn't starving, but forgot to prep dinner for tonight so it was a scrounge night.
Count me in on the love of early morning workouts. My gym doesn't open until 7 am on the weekends which sucks, because I'm awake by 4:30 or 5 usually. During the week I go to work too early to workout beforehand, but I'm thinking maybe once or twice a week I should shift my hours and go to work later so I can get to the gym before. We'll see as the weather gets warmer.

I did 15 minutes on the elliptical and I turned the resistance to 25. It wasn't that bad. I did feel my legs burn a little. I think I'll keep it there this week and see how I feel next week.

I've been waiting for her for a while. My period tracker says that I'm something like 20 days late, which is not unusual. I can't wait until they stop all together.

My BC pills are continuous, so I am not supposed to get a period, I usually just have a few light PMS symptoms and then go on with my life. this is a must-view/listen, ladies. she has a great message... i do think tracking and logging can be a slippery slope to obsessive/compulsive stressing. been there for sure. i think half the battle is getting in to a routine and letting it stick. i like that she does put it out there that you don't have to spend hours in the gym every day... cause nobody has time for that!

I know for me I have to track at the beginning, just to get back into the swing of things. Tracking helps me to slowly adjust my portions to something reasonable and it makes me think about what I'm putting into my body. I was feeling crappy yesterday and I also ate crappy. That only compounded the feeling. Like Kelli, when I eat well, I feel good. When I eat (or drink) poorly, I don't feel as good.

yesterday was the year mark of DH up and quitting his job. also the start of me gaining weight back. the year was ROUGH... but some great things have happened and we are in a better place. financially, we are a disaster... but there is a light at the end of the tunnel at least. No one is in therapy and no one is having suicidal thoughts, so BIG WIN! anyway- at this point i am about 15-20 pounds up from my weight a year ago so naturally next to nothing in my closet fits. i threw out just about everything that was in a larger size. do you know how miserable you feel when you clothes are digging in to your waist? you look crappy, you feel crappy... oh and guess what: you eat crappy. i decided that i need to feel better about myself - i found a sale online and grabbed a few things in a larger size to tide me over. there really is no use is fighting it and beating myself up. it doesn't make me live a healthier lifestyle.

I don't know that I can resist getting a burrito this morning. They're at least homemade, and regular food, not the size of a football or anything. Hoping I can do that and not slip into old habits. Still have a salad and soup for lunch later.

I know for me I have to track at the beginning, just to get back into the swing of things. Tracking really helped me when I finally decided to do something about hating myself/weight back in 2012. It may not be the most accurate thing but it does give you a good baseline of what you're really eating and how many calories you're really burning. As much as it sucks, one hour of pilates did not equal one burrito! :-( Now, I just log my breakfast because I have a 970 day streak on My Fitness Pal and I want to hit 1000 days. Haha. But even just logging breakfast helps, because sometimes I'll have something different from the usual (i.e., Sunday brunch) and I should be aware that I'll have to adjust my eating for the rest of the day. When I was losing weight I did have yummy indulgent food, just made sure Burrito Friday was monthly as opposed to weekly, and I would have wine but did not drink Monday through Wednesday. Moderation really is key! For the record, I lost 37 pounds in 2012, gained 5 in 2014 when i got Mirena and 5 more when I stopped running and kept eating like a distance runner, not too bad. I don't necessarily need to lose the extra 10 pounds, five to eight is perfectly fine.

I had tacos that were the size of burritos for lunch. It was awesome, but man I ate too much. I loaded them with lettuce, and am trying to convince myself that made up for the lack of other veggies. I'm going to the gym after work, and this will definitely hold me over throughout the afternoon without feeling the need for another snack. #rationalization

I'm thinking about making tuna casserole for dinner since it's Ash Wednesday and Thing 2 likes it. I'm sure it's no good for me, but I haven't had fast food all week so I'm rationalizing too. Plus, I took a frozen pizza out of the freezer last night to cook for myself and when I saw that it was 700 calories I put it back in the freezer and just didn't eat.

I had my soup, salad, and grapes for lunch, but I also ate my "witching hour" protein bar. I just hope I don't get hungry again before dinner. Good thing I'm not Catholic because there are chicken leg quarters roasting in the slow cooker!
