I cleared out the office supplies drawer of the desk today. I threw out a medium-sized bag of Stuff, so it's much emptier now.

After counting 6 pans of cinnamon rolls I gave away + all the food I decluttered from the pantry I'm updating my total to 800 which was my goal for this year.  I still have a box of things in the garage to donate, magazines to take to the assisted living home and more downsizing to do but feeling good about that progress. Yesterday I cleaned out the fridge including washing all the bins and shelves. I also rearranged the furniture in my master bedroom and am still putting everything back together. The mattresses + pillows & blankets from the guest room are still in the living room and I'll move that back tomorrow. The dogs will go crazy tonight with the fireworks so it'll help to have the tv as a distraction and more space (couch + queen mattress + chaise) so they don't jump all over me when they're scared. Lots more to do but I got pulled in online because one of my client sites got hacked and the header just says "Happy F*cking New Year" over and over. People suck. |

We took our tree down last night. Just left nativity out, and a small tree by our back basement door. We are headed to Lake Geneva for New Year’s eve.

Today I have been sewing most of the day, working on a baby quilt for my nephew. His wife is due in March. Fortunately it appears that I will be able to do the quilt with fabric that I already have. It will be nice to not have that expense right now.

I got the smallest spare bedroom cleaned out of Christmas gifts and wrapping supplies. The bed is set up and it's an actual functional guest room. The last of my shirts were hung up in the closet so that's done. There is a ton left to do though and I just want a break. I'm pretty sure it would take almost a week to put this place in order and I'm tired.
