that's a get really stoned, lay on the floor under headphones in the dark mood. That just kinda melt away relaxation. That's Pink Floyd's "The Wall". Great. Now I need to hit that and drink. Steff, please shut up. I mean that in the nicest way possible. I have become....comfortably numb

Oh God I feel so old!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I hate you both because I now have to listen to and watch all this awesome music!!!!!!!!!!!! blame steff. i almost never listen to anything older than 1990 these days@!!but she is taking me on a trip down memory lane tonight. Oh man! I've got hundreds of albums on both vinyl and CD, and have almost 10,000 songs on my computer, and not much of it is after 1990. Listening to some Robin Trower now.

My brothers and I each have different parts of mom's music that we latched onto. Pink Floyd is my middle brother. He's a huge fan.

The Houston Planetarium used to do a Pink Floyd laser show every Friday night. I know I went a lot, but my brother went almost every weekend. I wonder if they still do them.

Sigh. I think I need to get out more. My playlists are almost exclusively 80s but with a bunch of late 70s but still. I was born in the 70s and considering the clothes I had to wear, would rather not remember them. Do love me my Ozzy and Black Sabbath though. And AC/DC. And Queen. And Pink Floyd. And I need to go hit up Youtube.

I LOVE THAT SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sadly enough I remember the video from MTV way back in the day when they actually played, you know, VIDEOS!!!!!!!!! August 1, 1981. God I am old!!!!!!!!! Me too! I remember seeing the rocket blast off for the first time! It was so cool. I remember when you could see Motley Crue's Home Sweet Home at 5 pm every day because it was the #1 video. lol Or when you'd get all excited because there was a new video premier. Ahhhh the good old 80's.

I loved me some Headbanger's Ball on Saturday nights with Riki Rachtman. And I remember when Def Leppard's Hysteria came out. I was GLUED to MTV for those vids.

I see Truth by Jeff Beck...just saw him at the Zoo. Own that album but go deeper with Beck back to Yardbirds 45's....Shapes of Things, OverUnderSidewaysDown. My love for them led me to being a huge LedZep fan. First 3 hour concerts staring in 1970. Of course Cream made that cut too but never saw them live.
I see CCR on here...my first concert ever and saw Fogerty at Ste. Michelle winery recently. Amazing. People thought they were from the south with that swampy sound but Fogerty was from Bakersfield. He was a vet which made Fortunate Son have a bit deeper meaning for us 'Nam eligibles.
Humble Pie at the Paramount theater stoned on painkillers as I had just had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled. Appropos song of the show....I don't need no doctor!

Of course as a Seattleite Jimi was #1. Was fortunate to see him live at the now gone Sick's Stadium. With Dylan just receiving the Nobel prize a I can't leave this thread without posting what I consider the best rock song ever. The sonic assault of Jimi with the lyrics of our R&R poet laureate.

just a quick update: there are no status changes in the state races or the odds on Clinton, which remain 5:1.
