Mom had a bird in her house and she smacked it with a pool noodle. That stunned it enough to get it into a box and back outdoors, but not enough to kill it.

How do you get a ruffed grouse out of your garage? It flew in there two days ago and seems to like being in the rafters. A trail of birdseed/bread crumbs out the open door? A covered roasting pan left open with the cover beside it on the floor just below the bird as a message? Borrow MPL's barn cats or Tenn's feral cats?

How can Mick Jagger continue to find young women to procreate with? I really don't get the attraction. Even when I was younger, I'd never want to sleep with a man that was 40+years older than me.
Am I the only one that thinks it's weird he'll be a new dad AND a great Grandpa at the same time?

I don't get why the old guys think it makes them cool. Everyone knows the young girl is using them but whatever, low self-esteem for all involved IMO.

I'm not sure he has enough money to persuade me. I never found the man attractive. I'm not trying to be mean. Sexual attraction is as much chemical as visual. He just never did it for me. I sure don't want to bear his child and have to continue to have a relationship with him even if it's only a legal relationship. Now, Sting? Sting does it for me. I'd have Sting's baby in a heartbeat and, like Jagger, he already has a bunch of kids. But making Sting's baby would definitely do it for me.

TOMORROW NEVER COMES By Norma Cornett Marek
If I knew it would be the last time that I’d see you fall asleep, I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the Lord your soul to keep.
If I knew it would be the last time that I see you walk out the door, I would I would give you a hug and a kiss and call you back for just one more. If I knew it would be the last time I’d hear your voice lifted in praise, I would tape each word and action and play them back throughout my days. If I knew it would be the last time, I would spare an extra minute or two To stop and say, “I love you,” instead of assuming you know I do. So just in case tomorrow never comes, and today is all I get, I’d like to say how much I love you and I hope we never will forget. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike, And today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight. So if you’re waiting for tomorrow, Why not do it today? For if tomorrow never comes, you’ll surely regret the day that you didn’t take That extra time for a smile, a hug or a kiss and you were to busy to grant someone What turned out to be their one last wish. So hold your loved ones close today and whisper in their ear, tell them you You love them very much and you’ll always hold them dear. Take time to say, “I’m sorry,” “Please forgive me,” “Thank you,” or “It’s OK.”
And if tomorrow never comes, you’ll have no regrets about today.

Thanks, you just put me right off my cheap chocolate. Don't ever eat cheap chocolate Hey, I sometimes get some great cheap chocolate at the dollar store. Today I bought 70% dark Lindt chocolate bar for $1.
Not as good as Alter Eco chocolate on sale at $2.99 with a $1 off coupon, but hey $1, pretty nice.

No. Inborn genetics tell women to choose the strongest most successful mate. The old guys use their money to buy what gives them pleasure and don't care if they are being used or using the young babes. Their inborn genetics says procreate as much as possible.

Thanks, Artemis Windsong, we can never be reminded too often how fragile life is. I'm sending ODS on his own on a road trip tomorrow. He's a good driver. It's the other crazies I worry about. I made sure to tell him how much I love him an extra time or two tonight.

Losing DH after he'd beaten everything that should have killed him was an eye opener for me.

Okay, why do new jeans (women's) have half pockets? (and they cost more than men's jeans) That's just wrong.

I leave my books and magazines that I no longer need at laundromats and waiting rooms at clinics. They disappear really quickly.

How many books does a person need to own? Seriously. I'm packing. Its not pretty. Its sooo hard to give too many away.... I feel your pain. Until a few years ago, I hadn't deliberately gotten rid of books in many years. I kept the ones I didn't even like. I still had books from when I was in high school, some that were just required reading for a class that I definitely didn't enjoy. I've been an avid reader since elementary school and I read fast, so that was a LOT of books. Culling my collection was very hard once I finally decided to do it. I don't regret it though.

When I was in my early 20s I asked my brother to help me move. After hauling boxes up to my third floor walk up, he asked why I felt the need to keep every book is ever read.
I looked at him, astonished, and said, oh no, these are only the ones I love!

I kept my absolute favorites and took a bunch of unread ones to work to get to as I get to them. Still working on getting through them. lol I have a box of books missing somewhere from 20 years ago roughly, I still recall books I owned that I haven't seen in ages. I'll be amazed if I find that box one day. (There's a possibility it's at Mom's in all her crap somewhere)

Why is it we live in a time where it's illegal to have whole fruit...but walking around with an assault rifle is perfectly legal.
Who knew bananas and apples could be so deadly?
