Does the White House know what the mice are doing when the cat is vacationing away from the rathole? US Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner shocked global markets by revealing that Washington is "quite open" to Chinese proposals for the gradual development of a global reserve currency run by the International Monetary Fund.
Obama had just said, ""I don't believe that there is a need for a global currency. The reason the dollar is strong right now is because investors consider the United States the strongest economy in the world with the most stable political system in the world,"
The dollar plunged instantly , , , as the news flashed across the ticker screens.
. . . . the apparent policy shift amounts to an earthquake in geo-finance. www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/economics/5050407/US-backing-for-world-currency-stuns-markets.html

Doesn't really matter the date of the opinion, unless he has changed his mind since then. He like many of Obama's appointees are just not the sharpest tools in the shed which is a major reason so many question how smart our President really is.

Thank you, bills. Now, does anyone have any salt and pepper to go with this egg I have on my face? I owe the entire board an apology for failing to check out what was handed to me.
