Wow, the violence against Republicans and conservatives is escalating! I think this election season is going to be very dangerous for Republicans. I hope they are taking adequate security precautions...

WASHINGTON - Police are searching for suspects after someone shot-out windows at a Republican office in the District.

Police say the vandalism occurred Tuesday night. All of the windows of the officer were damaged.

The executive director of the Republican Committee says an air gun was probably used.

Police also say they found a ‘BB’ on the ground outside the office.

Workers believe the shooting was politically related.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Authorities are trying to find out who threw bricks through windows and doors at two Democratic Party offices in western New York before Sunday's health care vote.

Monroe County Democratic Committee officials say a brick shattered glass doors at the party's headquarters in Rochester on Saturday or Sunday. No one was in the building at the time. Rochester police are investigating.

A brick was thrown through a window at Democratic Rep. Louise Slaughter's district office in Niagara Falls early Friday.

Slaughter's district stretches from Rochester to the Buffalo area. She has been a key supporter of the health care reform bill passed Sunday by the House.

I am guessing that ugonow was showing that this isn't limited to one political party or another, nor is the violence escalating as claimed in the OP. While I wouldn't condone it, breaking windows with BBs is on the lower end of the scale when it comes to violent acts. This stuff has been going on since politics began.

Take this in conjunction with other incidents and there is a pattern. As Paul says, the left is going out, and they are reacting violently to their burgeoning irrelevancy. These types of property crimes, as well as assaults by union rent-a-thugs against conservatives at several recent events is only the tip of the iceberg. As the demise of the left becomes more and more evident, I think they will increasingly respond with more and more violence. It's always been their fallback tactic, but now it is becoming the main one as well...

This is not including all the death threats and other violent threats received by conservative speakers, entertainers and other non-politicians.

If you made a chart of the dates & violence you listed, then it would appear that the violence is actually decreasing. Half of the incidents you listed occurred over 10 months ago. Most of them around the time when healthcare was being debated. Interestingly enough, democrats also got window smashed & death threats during the same period of time:

- Vandals smashed doors and windows at five Democratic offices around the country in the days surrounding the landmark House health care vote Sunday night, and a right-wing blogger in Alabama is taking credit for starting a so-called "window war."

- 10 democrats recieved death threats

- Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY) received a death threat against "the children of lawmakers who voted yes."

- The brother of Rep. Tom Periello (D-VA) received a threatening letter on the same day that his gas line was cut. Two conservative Tea Party activists posted the address of the home on the Internet on Monday, mistakenly believing it was the home of the congressman. One of the activists urged others to "drop by" and "express their thanks" for Perriello's vote in favor of health care reform.

Again, I would argue that violence is not escalating, nor is it one-sided against conservatives. Nothing you have posted indicates otherwise.

Last weeks death threats over cutting NASCAR subsidies was my favorite. <<"A Democratic Congresswoman has received death threats after questioning the wisdom of the U.S. Army sponsoring a NASCAR Sprint Cup team to the tune of $7 million a year.

Rep. Betty McCollum (D-MN) alerted Capitol Police Thursday after a threatening fax arrived at her office attacking her proposal to strip Pentagon sponsorship from NASCAR teams.

McCollum’s staff tells TPM this is the first time they’ve alerted the police about a threat made against here office since the health care debate.

“Yo, Slut Betty,” the fax, which arrived at McCollum’s DC office Thursday morning, reads. “Shut Your Phucking Pie Hole!”

The fax then goes on to say that “without exception, Marxists are enemies of the Constitution” and “Death To All Marxists, Foreign And Domestic!”
