Thrift store & Garage sales brags

This wasn't a garage sale, but Craigslist. We just bought a new sofa/sleeper loveseat from La-Z-Boy.  It looked horrible with the cheap Target end tables and coffee table. They were parawood (rubber) and looked so yellow in contrast. Plus, the furniture has dark legs.

I found two awesome cherry end tables on CL for $100.  I offered $80, and he accepted.  But then I couldn't get them home in the car (not even one at a time) so they offered to deliver them.  So I paid the $100.

They are so perfect for the sunroom.  They are very modern looking (he had one of those modern coffee tables that lift up to match it, but DH didn't want a coffee table out there) and in great condition.  They are a whole lot better than what I replaced.

So score for me!

This is a thread that shouldn't have died.  So I will post.  

I needed a lamp for the guest room.  I got a fantastic one with a shade that looks brand-new for $15.  I think from the style that it was part of a 3-piece set that I sometimes see at places like Lowe's.

Anyway, it is awesome.

And speaking of that sunroom . . . I forgot to post that I found two $15 cream ottomans with brown piping that look awesome with that very expensive LB sofa.

At a yard sale (moving sale), I bought two really nice lamps for my daughter's new apartment. She didn't want them, so I'm using them in my bedroom. $20 for both.

Tomorrow I'm going to look through a house with my SIL.  The owner died about a year ago and her son is just now getting rid of everything.  I think he's giving some of it away, but not sure.  I'll let you know what I get.

Two nights ago DH found a butcher block kitchen island by the side of the road in our neighborhood.  He got a neighbor to help him get it home.  I cleaned it up and it's beautiful! Score!
