I'm going to disagree with Phil here too. I don't believe that anyone should be 100% invested in equities -- even at your age, a 90/10 portfolio mitigates some risk without really reducing returns. So you can look at the debt paydown as part of that 10%, which means that on the non-equity portion of your portfolio you're getting an effective return of 6.8%
