We went out last night to a ball game with a friend for his birthday. We got home late, I slept like crap, and I'm irritated at most everything this morning. And I want a donut. We have a staff appreciation picnic at work today. I hope I kill this donut craving by then so I don't pig out on all the goodies they provide. I've been doing really good diet wise this week, I really don't want to derail that just b/c I'm cranky Probably a good thing I took this coming Monday off so I can have 3 straight days of sleeping in!

Then have a donut, you could be cranky cause of being hungry as well. I do not limit what I can eat, I limit the portion size.

I'm buying Zumba 2.5 lbs weights from Amazon.ca. I can get them for $25cdn from Amazon or pay $130cdn elsewhere. It's a no-brainer I would say. These were just ordered from Amazon.ca, I'm so flipping happy cause the $24.95 is an absolute steal in these. I've been pricing them for about 9 months. I've seen them as high as $160.00 www.amazon.ca/gp/offer-listing/B00588OCPI/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=newI'm so happy!

I want to be able to do a one handed push up. I'm going to try tonight and see how far away I think I am from being able to do it. Let's hope I don't break my nose.

I got down about 1/4 of the way and went "ehh, not happening". Keep trying, when I started the plank exercise, I had trouble getting up. It didn't take that long when the stiffness left me. Now I get down, do them, get up like it's nothing. Good Luck.

Through no fault of my own, lots of eating out the last couple of days. Not a lot of faith in weight loss next week. Breakfast out again tomorrow. These are work events, so not much I can do about it. Swam tonight, it was a slog. Couldn't get my rhythm right, headphones wouldn't stay in. Tweaked a muscle in my foot wrong trying to do flip turns, which I haven't done since high school. (I've been avoiding in the gym pool because it's so shallow.) Hate the days where it just doesn't click. But I didn't give up and completed my workout - 1250 yards. Trying to decide what weights to do tomorrow. Based on my swim today, I'm gonna say not legs. And back and arms maybe?

I've been very tired and kind of sore the last couple of weeks, so slowing down and easing up a bit. Makes me feel like my age is slowing me down. As long as the #'s keep going in the right direction, I'm happy.

Well, did abs, back and arms. Pulled one of my lower abs. It's awful, I can barely breathe or stay upright.
SO THIS IS GONNA BE A TREAT!!!

Just pulled out my body fat monitor and it's a whopping 39.3%. Jesus. I'm pretty much ignoring mine. I choose to believe it's not particularly accurate. It can give vastly different readings on the same day and as of a couple of days ago I haven't lost much body fat from the reading I took 10 pounds ago. I don't believe that to be correct as I know I've lost weight, inches, and have been exercising and know I'm gaining muscle. Besides, I know I'm too fat; I don't need to know the exact number.

I wanted to plop my butt down and watch TV. I only had 4300 steps after spending 6.5 hours in the car today. But I went and walked and got my 10k steps in. I had 80k last week and I'm going to try and add different stuff this week. Still having left knee issues from my stupid tight/weak hip flexor. Need to stretch way more.

Plank challenge day 2 done. Dear god, this weekend i realized how weak my core had gotten. I was on my feet all day saturday and by the end of the night my back was killing me. This weekend was a mess where food is concerned. But i already have my salad made for tomorrow lunch.
I am excites to continue the plank challenge this week and will be adding in additional ab work.

My step total is just under 63000. Was doing well until I hit a wall on Friday. I had about 6000 on Friday. Today's total was just a little over 5000 and my fit bit is charging.

Weekly Check in
The week started well. Did not finish well. Just under 63000 steps. Friday night I was really tired and went to bed early. Water consumption not where it needed to be. Did well on the late night snacking. Have not been doing the plank challenge.
This weeks goal 80000 steps. Work on water consumption, no late night snacks.

Still being super lazy about finding new work outs. We've decided we will find some 4th of July week. A homework of sorts.

This week has been a shotshow for food and exercise. I'm giving up on it. Work is crazy. I'm traveling all next week so food will be crazy but the hotel has a pool and fitness center so will utilize those.

I started Zumba DVD Step by Step last night. I'm still doing my plank challenge, but I'm adding on to my exercise regime now.

I did 2 miles on the treadmill and 5 miles on the bike. I had to make up for last night since I didn't go to zumba. The AC guys were here too long.

Ran/walked three miles on the treadmill. I was starting to feel like a real runner as I could run 3 miles and more with relative ease at reasonable pace. Not tonight, it totally sucked!

Still no exercise this week, but my plan of stress eating everything I can get my hands on during the work day and coming home and eating a small bowl of something at night seems to be working. Down another half pound.
I'll take it, I suppose.

I think I'm down 4 pounds this month which is a miracle. I can't stick with anything, so I'm just trying to trick myself into less food and more movement.
