Since lexxy703 and I both like this new show I thought I would start a thread to see if anyone else does too.

I have watched the first two episodes.
Like I said in the CM thread I am glad the recruits at the real FBI are vetted better than they are on this show.
So the recruits all seem to have secrets. Some we now know and some we don't. Anyone want to speculate?
I think the openly gay guy Simon is really not gay.
What do you think they are doing with the twins?

I have to admit I could have sworn that the actor that played the recruit that shot himself in the first episode was Colin Hanks and I thought to myself how is he going to juggle 2 shows (Life in Pieces) full time? But I guess that wasn't him. My bad.

I do like this show.  I think you are one episode behind Icey so I won't spoil it for you.  I and several others I've talked to about the show agree that Simon isn't really gay.  I can't tell what his interest in the Muslim twin is.  Possibly love interest or possibly something else entirely.

I'm not sure what the director's twin angle is but she is keeping it secret.  The only thing revealed so far is she wants them to be believed to be one person, so I am guessing some sort of operation where she/they have to go undercover.

I was wondering if the director was attempting to see if anyone could actually figure out the girls are twins. 

Yeah, Simon is definitely not gay.  On the first episode didn't he take pics with some random guy? 

The one I am trying to figure out is the guy who is trying to get close to the girl accused of terrorism.  Is her name Alex? I am terrible at remembering names.  What is his deal?

You are talking about Booth who is an actual FBI agent undercover as a recruit? Yes Alex Parrish is the girls name. I don't understand either. But I guess that is the whole point right? Keep us guessing and coming back.

So since we are all in agreement Simon is not gay, why go in as the first openly gay recruit? What's the point?

They're filming Quantico near my house. There's no parking anywhere. Catering trucks, production vehicles, make-up trailers, etc., using every bit of available space. The residents have no place to park, and people are really pissed off.

No parking anywhere else due to sewage repair work.

I think his name is Boone.  I'm not sure what his deal is but he is undercover & assigned to get to know her.  Remember him meeting in the woods with the instructor guy & he is pissed that his assignment is back to being a rookie.  The thing I don't get yet is after the terrorist attack is he actually trying to help her or part of the set up.  It is very intriguing.

And yes Simon just met some random guy that it appeared he had somehow met online & had him meet him for coffee & then just handed him a cup, took the pic & left.

So what do you think is in the baggies that the girls have hidden?  They showed Alex pulling up her carpet to get hers & the twin picked hers up in the gas station rest room.

His name is Ryan Booth. I looked up the cast. Yes it is all very intriguing. I won't watch the 3rd episode until next week. I usually do a week behind when I watch shows on demand.

I wonder how many episodes there will be this season.  I really enjoy the show; however, I hope they don't drag the same story line on for too long.  I would like this wrapped up by the end of the season and then move on to something completely new.  I don't mind the back and forth timeline for now but I don't really think that is going to work well forever.

My thoughts exactly.  Liam would just be too obvious.  I'm thinking it has something to do with her dad since it started before she even joined the academy.

I also hope they wrap this story line up by end of season.  At least clear her & maybe next season be looking for the real terrorist.

I've gotten used to the back & forth but would agree that it won't work well forever.

It's so funny you said that because I was just thinking to myself on Monday that Liam is behind all of this. I mean he is the one controlling everything from the beginning at the academy to now. And why would he pick Alex? Because he worked with her Dad and I think he is trying to cover something up from that time.

And I am a bit relieved that Simon may not be double crossing her after all.

Yes I agree on the back and forth and that I hope they wrap this storyline up at the end of this season or before and move on to something else.
But the back and forth is not half as bad as it was on How To Get Away With Murder Last season. It was one of the things that bugged me about that show. I have a love/hate relationship with it. They kept showing the same things over and over again. It isn't as bad this season. But Quantico reminds me of that show because of the back and forth.

I never watched HTGAWM but the back & forth has it's place in Quantico at least for the time being.  I just don't want it to be a permanent thing.

Okay the whole chasing Alex thing is starting to wear on me. I hope they don't drag it out foe the entire season.
I like the academy parts much better.

I am so pissed off at my On Demand service!!! The last 2 episodes have not appeared On Demand and when I called the cable company I get this response "We don't know who controls the On Demand programs." Really? WTF You offer a service but don't know who provides the content of that service.
So if they don't appear I will have to stop watching this season and wait for it to come out on DVD. This is one of those show that you can't miss episodes because it is a progressive ongoing storyline all year. Not like the shows with a new story every week.

Oh, that totally sucks! The last two episodes were really good.  Maybe they will show them again over the holiday season. I don't think the show starts back for a while so perhaps they will show up on demand before then.

I thought this episode was just ok.  My favorite part was when the son finally gave up his captors names to the Muslim twin.  Them comparing racist situations was funny.

I was kind of annoyed with the episode.  Once again, no one believes Alex.  Then they all get mad at her when she publicly agrees with them .  To top it all off, she goes to meet some terrorist alone in the dark.  Getting kind of silly...

I agree.  Why oh why wouldn't she take that garbled phone call to her FBI peeps?!?  Of course it probably said not to & to come alone.  I couldn't understand a word of it.  Then her other FBI friend gets herself turned into the next explosion.  They really are an incompetent group of recruits.  I'll give it a few more views to redeem itself.  Plus everything good is ending for the season so there isn't a lot of competition.
