Interesting piece of history. It's a Sears kit house. Sears used to sell houses. You order a house and you assemble it yourself. It still has the original hardwood floors, wainscoting, moldings, and built in China cabinets.
It it also has new roof, furnace, windows, hot water heater,, bathroom, kitchen, and gas insert fireplace.

When I did my tour of San Francisco the guide said those houses from the full house opening credit were from Sears. Insane.

There are some Sears homes here in the West. Most have been scraped if they are in urban areas but there are some left in less expensive rural areas.
I've posted a couple of times about "Earthquake shacks" the 1906 equivalent of Katrina trailers. One came up for sale in the Bernal Heights area of SF and sold for $1+M.
$60k doesn't even qualify as a down payment around here anymore.

Around here, you can't get financing for a rental unless you put at least 25% down. Rates are 1% higher than primary residence though, so you are higher there.

Don't you already own 2 houses? This would be your third, so definitely not owner-occupied. Joost saying.

Huh. Nice. Wish I'd been able to get away with 15% down. Would've been able to pick up three properties instead of two.

I must say, I've always wondered what Donald Trump looks like when he steps out of the shower. Does he have one side of long, fine, dripping-wet, hair and one side cut short and bald on the top?
The mental image I have is both hilarious and alarming.

I don't want to picture trump naked and/or getting out of the shower. I"m going back to my boring transfers list so I won't start thinking about it.
