Geees, let's see here,What almost government agency did in the time of crisis, (shutdown) was go into the mode of "what can we do to create the most visual impact with our citizens. For those agencies that took days to put together shutdown plans, Really?? They didn't have any contingency plans in place?? Yeaaa, thaats the ticket, Let's shut down (Enter your chose) Monument, then bring in more "Employees" to keep the public away than it takes to run the place. Then when it is over, give everyone money for their "paid Vacation"

The message reads as an article, not Dezi's posting style. The last sentence sounds like his words. Since he usually only quotes from Al Jezzeera, (sp?) let's just say it there As per our standards, he is responsible for posting a source, so I do not see a problem requesting it. Ok....I see the point ....I didn't post the source since it was in a E mail to me from DEM politicals sending to gather $ for Dems......but I agreed with all of the message being posted thus posted as you see it... Dezi, just so you know, I was not requesting the "source". Someone else did. I was defending the requirements of this board on posting something other than your own words without listing the source.

Sources are often a pain in the ass. I used to not post them sometimes because some posters want to dwell on the source instead of what is being said. My thought was that anyone who really wanted a source could just copy and paste to google, and I would put quote marks or italiicize so not to make people think it was mine. Some posters started to respond by listing the source themselves and attacking that source, so it was a losing battle. Many things in politics are just speculation until proven and when proven people act like its yesterday's news. There can be all kinds of evidence of ----- but some posters dismiss that evidence and want proof. The sources that offer evidence early on are often partisian. Idk.

Understand Value...I probably show source 99.8 % of the time but in this case , since it was from a fund raising blurb..I thought it would be inappropriate to give them any publicity ..but as said..I did agree with the premise they put forth..thus the post... While I have you...can you or others bring up as a reminder..where the Pres backed out of the deal between Obama and GOP house4 leadership...Boehner is saying that cost the Govt something like 11 trillion dollers ....I am real fuzzy on that turned down agreement ...anyone
