Investing isn't a problem for me, I have that taken off the top automatically before anything hits my accounts. Going over on my monthly spending was my problem. When I would spend more than I thought I was going to then I would have to pull money from savings, which was getting me further away from my other goals.
YNAB helps me manage the day-to-day and rainy day spending, the "low hanging fruit". So I don't have to swipe at the higher hanging fruit (big savings account, investment contributions, or rely on credit cards). My monthly money goes further so I can let the rest of my money do what it is supposed to do- grow and make me rich one day!

FINALLY sitting down and going thru YNAB! I think its going to work well for me as, in the past, finding and putting all the bills on paper or computer were where I sank. Today, I just put the bills I had in hand down and moved on. This time next month, I should have a budget for everyone to rip apart. Trust me, you'll find fluff in there.
