We vote here in schools, other public buildings, some private ones also. The schools want out for what the say are security concerns.

We vote in our once upon a time National Guard building which is now part of the State Forestry Division...(It was more fun when it was still an armory, one got to get up close to 155 mm artillery pieces while standing in line, you know, boys and their wished for toys )

In a booth! At the local senior center. Use to be in the township building but after building a senior center they moved it there.

Local middle school. They used to have bake sales on election days, but stopped a few years back.

In my district, a school. In surrounding districts; schools, libraries, senior and community centers.

Schools, libraries, community centers, and church halls. I vote at a church hall.

For local (city & county) elections, I vote at the firehouse. For state elections, I vote at a church. For national elections, I vote at the elementary school. Because Georgia likes to make it super complicated for no reason.

Washington State is one hundred percent voting by mail. There are no polling places.

This small town is by mail for the last several years. Before it was at local churches.

So I wonder if the security concern is just a local thing then. I don't really get it. We are not a high crime area and with sports things going on at the schools constantly I am wondering why this is suddenly a problem.

This is a small town. It has been schools, library, fire house and National Guard Armory. We need to get out of the schools because of closings and security. Also the schools have many steps, but the other places are accessible on one level from the parking lot.

We vote in schools here. Voting days are school holidays. My polling place is the elementary school about half a block from my house. Easy peasy.

Where we live now is at schools that I've seen.
Where we lived 2.5 years ago was in our neighborhood community center.
Where lives 10 years ago was in schools.

Schools are where people vote here... if they vote on "voting day". However we also have the option of "early voting" and those that participate in that vote at the Voting Registration Office. I vote at the VRO.

Washington State is one hundred percent voting by mail. There are no polling places. It's the same in Oregon. For over a decade. And because of this we have one of the highest voter participation rates.

Schools, churches, fire stations, town halls, community centers, libraries, the county convention center. I used to vote in an old folks' home. Not a senior center; an actual senior residential complex. Currently voting in a church hall.
Just for the heck of it, I checked the voting location list. No synagogues or mosques on the list. Plenty of churches, but no other religious buildings. Interesting.

Our early voting, which we do, is in the fire hall and armory for a few days. Voting day is in the schools. Makes no sense to use the schools.

In this country, it is usually schools, town halls, community centers, and libraries.
I usually vote in a school. My parents used to vote in a library.
There is always the comfy option of voting beforehand by mail, which I like.

Schools, church halls, senior centers, libraries and recreation centers. Plus each area has a government building we can vote or get our flu shot at. All fun and games, lol

Schools, churches, and public buildings like civic centers and more around here.
I vote in the local public school that is close to my home.

Church halls, park district centers, fire stations and village halls.
I don't think I've ever voted in a school. Then again I live in a high density population area and every park district has a year round building.

Used to be in a church, now it's the Rec center. Much closer.
