The key word in your question is "now", bills.

The baseline here is two fold. First, al-Saud's brand of Islam has become the dominant form of Islam world wide. Roughly 80% of Muslims world wide are now practicing wahabbism in some form or another. The second is that it needs to be understood that Islam is more than a religion, it's an authoritative political movement as well; and Sharia law is central to that movement.(Which is why we see it in Iran and Saudi Arabia.)
