Take my president, PLEASE!!! www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/president-china_554012.html?nopager=1“Mr. Obama has told people that it would be so much easier to be the president of China. As one official put it, ‘No one is scrutinizing Hu Jintao’s words in Tahrir Square.’” “Obama Seeks a Course of Pragmatism in the Middle East,” The New York Times, March 11, 2011. Mr. Obama is right. If you’re president of China, people around the world who are fighting for freedom don’t really expect you to help. If you’re president of China, you don’t have to put up with annoying off-year congressional elections, and then negotiate your budget with a bunch of gun-and-religion-clinging congressmen and senators. If you’re president of China, you can fund your national public radio to your heart’s content. And if you’re president of China, when you host a conference on bullying in schools, people take you seriously. Unfortunately for him and us, Barack Obama is president of the United States. That job brings with it certain special responsibilities. It’s a tough job—maybe tougher than being president of China. But Barack Obama ran for president of the United States. Maybe he should start behaving as one.

Hopefully Obama can save us from capitalism and turn us into a communist country. China is kicking our ass and I am tired of it.

Topic: Obama would rather be president of China Read more: notmsnmoney.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=politics&action=display&thread=4634#ixzz1GJQHYCtx I think Obama would rather be anyplace other than our President... is this a case of the job was just too much for him?? Or was he elevated to a position way above his pay grade?? He has been seen lately as not being informed about Egypt, Libya, Oil Crisis, Gas Prices, Budgetary Spending Cuts, and may becoming Irrelevant which is being kind.. I recall some here said in 2008 that if Obama becomes our 44th president he will be Jimmy Carter Part Dieux, but now after two years in office Obama is not Jimmy Carter Part Dieux but instead he is becoming by far our worse president in our nation's history..And this has the DNC wondering if they should support his re election or ask him to be a one term president and then nominate someone else to run as our next President from the leading Democrats ... www.americanthinker.com/2011/01/will_obama_be_a_oneterm_presid.html

And the left wing base is pissed at him because they think he is Bush III. These combinations are not great for a reelection.

David Axelrod worried Obama could not take a punch By Lynn Sweet on August 2, 2009 1:55 PM| 1 Comment While then Sen. Barack Obama was considering running for president, his advisor and friend David Axelrod worried in 2006 that Obama would have to toughen up for a White House campaign. Axelrod told Obama that he was thin skinned and he wondered if Obama could take the punches that would come in a presidential campagin. "You care far too much what is written and said about you. You don't relish combat when it becomes personal and nasty. When the largely irrelevant Alan Keyes attacked you, you flinched," Axelrod wrote in a memo. Axelrod's strategy memo to Obama is revealed in "The Battle for America 2008," a new book by Dan Balz and Haynes Johnson about the 2008 presidential campaigns. Obama's charmed political career came in part because of puffy, fluffy non-critical press coverage. Axelrod fretted about how Obama would do in the rough and tumble of a campaign. 'It goes to your willingness and ability to put up with something you have never experienced on a sustained basis: criticism. At the risk of triggering the very reaction that concerns me, I don't know if you are Muhammad Ali or Floyd Patterson when it comes to taking a punch.'" Axelrod also predicted how the Hillary Clinton campaign would attack Obama: "Her goal will be twofold: to suggest that she has the beef, while we offer only sizzle; and that she is not about the past but the future. But for all her advantages, she is not a healing figure. As much as she tacks to the right, she will have a hard time escaping the well-formulated perceptions of her among swing voters as a left-wing ideologue." blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2009/08/david_axelrod_worried_about_ob.html

I would say that Jimmy Carter could beat Obama in a fair fight but not too sure if Mr Carter would fight fair or not....something about those Old Georgia peanut farmers..??

Archie, Very strong words considering that many of our relatives fought and died to provide a country where capitalism would provide the foundation for a country that would develop new technologies that have probably saved billions of lives and reduced suffering in countless countries. It's not capitalism that failed, it was our people who spoiled by success have allowed our government to grow out of control and leave the very principles of capitalism that made us successful. You are right about China kicking our butt but do you want to end our environmental, safety and labor regulations to compete with them?

Oh yea I guess that also means you would support making unions illegal? This post has me really pissed and thats not easy to do. Asking for support to change our government back to what it was is one thing but turning traitor is another.

Why don't we beat them at their own game? Let's become even bigger communists then they are and turn the tables?

That's my question to you. Do you support abolishing unions and getting rid of all regulations that keep us from being competitive with this communist country?

Keep reading. " where capitalism would provide a foundation for a country to develop new technologies" Not sure where you saw the word oath but I'm quite sure most scholars would agree that our capitalistic society was the foundation for our success and would never happened if we had been under the rule of a communist dictatorship.

If you want to see real ass kicking. Divide this country right down the middle and give the lefties who want a communistic government their wish. Reinstate a truly capitalistic government in the other and see a side by side comparison of who is successful. See ya all next week.

Lately,I have seen many conservatives holding China up as an example we should chase after in many of our economic policies.....but then again a couple of years ago they were holding up Ireland as a model also.....

It is nonsense like this that prevents me from voting Republican. When they claim they'll take the country back, they mean it in a very literal sense. I'm surprised they're not pushing a bill allocating money for time travel research.

Actually I read on one of the Blogs that that has been discussed but they felt now is not the time, soon however, soon, was the consensus. ;D

You are right about China kicking our butt but do you want to end our environmental, safety and labor regulations to compete with them? Spot on, rockon. And I'd add that China is kicking our butts because their economy is moving away from socialism and becoming more and more capitalist. Meanwhile, like a bunch or morons, we are abandoning capitalism and running more and more towards socialism.
