My DH also has gout. And cherries and cherry juice are damed expensive!
Last year I bought about 15 pounds of cherries on sale and spent an entire afternoon pitting them. I portioned them out in the freezer so he could have them all year round at less than $8/lb.

And yes, the juice he used to buy sure wasn't cheap.  |
