uncle, I just passed out in parking lot, no chance to break the fall in any way.  At least, I did not break any bones.  Hospital staff thinks I was overly dehydrated and I must drink at least 6 full glasses of water each day in asddition to any other fluids.  I'll be careful to walk slower too.  Feeling better as time passes.  Still a few little things, and a week to go with home care checks and therapy.

From one article I saw while ago...go short! Haha....they don't know any more than the rest of us!

And at age 70...so far I haven't fallen, but I'm having a harder & harder time getting up after I get down....like pulling weeds or digging out unwanted grass!  I need something to grab to help pull up.

kadee, just be careful and you should not have falling problems,  I always seemed to be too much in a hurry, and that can lead to a mistep and a fall.  Take care and take time to avoid a fall.  As we age things do get a bit harder.  I'm going to use a care for support in walking around.  So far, can get up and down from a chair without too much effort.  But then I am not on hands and knees in a yard pulling weeds.  The condo association takes care of all exterior upkeep, yeah!
