Does anyone know where to get leather purses, not fixed really, but spiffy-ed up? A few of my pretty purses that I love are showing wear on the handles. I'd guess you'd call it the piping? It's the dark leather on the edges of the light leather. It's wearing off. example Also, the fabric on the interiors needs to be cleaned. Would a leather shop do this? Do leather shops even exist anymore?

I need to quit clicking on links. I get flooded with ads for cute stuff that I do not need. I have enough swimsuits. I have enough swimsuits.

I don't know if I updated, but the doctor said I could go swimming, just keep it to a pool and not a lake. No way am I getting in lake water, so no problem there. He also said no sun exposure on the incisions. The incision is below the bikini line, so no problem there either. Yay!

Can I admit here that I've become obsessed with makeup and creating new looks. I need to become a stockholder in Ulta. They love me there.

I went to Ulta for the first time today. That store is overwhelming.

I found a shoe repair shop, and stopped in to ask about fixing the piping on my purses. They don't do it, but they gave me the name of another shop that they think does, so I'll try to get over there this week. These purses were fairly expensive, so I really would like to be able to keep using them.

Any recommendations for a light foundation that's good for sensitive skin? I don't have bad skin but like to put a little something on just to even it out. I've been using the Bare Minerals foundation powder for years but lately it hasn't been working so well. It's probably a factor of getting older but it's starting to look really powdery on my face. I'm guessing I need to go back to a liquid.

Physician's Formula makes makeup for sensitive skin. I've also heard that Clinique is good for that as well. I've never tried either, but Thing 1's skin is super sensitive and she uses it.
ETA: Thing 1 uses PF foundation. The whole line is supposed to be for sensitive skin.

I’ve also given up powder products lately for the same reason.

I never thought about trying to mix with moisturizer. I have a BB cream and while I like the feel it's still too brown/orange for my skin.

I got matched for foundation at sephora and if i want lighter coverage i mix with a lotion myself so the underlying color is right.

Apply the concealer under the eyes, down the bridge of the nose, on the chin, and between the brows. When you blend it out, it should make everything less orange and highlight the high points of the face. ETA: Here's a tutorial. You don't have to follow the whole thing obviously, but it at least gives you the placement of the concealer that I was talking about.

I have dry sensitive skin and just started using the neutrogena hydro boost tint. It’s a light to medium coverage. I really really like it so far.

Merle Norman is the best, have used it since I was 18, now 73. I have spots on my arms from Plavix, bruises all over. They have a powder plus base and I use it on those. does a good job of camouflaging all those big purple spots. I have a base that is lighter also for my face.
The swim suit is cute but I don't get anything with thighs cut up like that, when you get old its not real attractive, needs a young svelte body for that I think.

It sounds ridiculous, I know. m.sephora.com/product/cicapair-tiger-grass-camo-drops-P429250But you need a very small amount and it’s great for my skin and hides redness very well. It works on its own as light coverage or under foundation as a redness corrector. Highly recommend.

Ooh, I'll have to check it out! I recently became hooked on snail mucin essence. My skin looks fantastic.

I'm going to have another round of laser treatment for underlying redness, as well as some spider veins, at the end of summer. This sounds like a good product to try in the meantime.

We have a new girl at work. She made a comment the other day that I'm always dressed nicely. Yay! Now if the weather would cool down so I can have cute hair too, that would be great.

so there was a sale for the Black Dog outlet store, and I went online to find sizes that would fit my chest. not knowing what size I actually wear in the ladies' cuts, I ordered two tops expecting that I would be returning one of them at least. yeah, nope. package arrived yesterday and I love both. I've had my eye on the stripey one since it came out early this spring, but waited for a sale b/c BD is expensive. I threw in the slouchy tshirt hoodie and that's amazing too. so I'm all set for this particular style of clothes for awhile now. oh, and I grabbed two bandannas for the pups, as well. all links are below. note - I did not pay the listed prices. Hadley hoodie - navy/white Cadet hoodie <- I think the one I got has been discontinued. this is the style, mine is sea green with pink screenprints bandannas - red for LD, blue for the golden.

Those are fun sweatshirts. DH refuses to let our dog where bandanas. I think they're great though.
