Alcee Hastings is making headlines again.

The former federal judge who was impeached for taking bribes from Florida drug lords, who then found a home as a Democrat in the Congress, is taking up space in the news again. He has been profiled by the Wall Street Journal as the second biggest travelling member of the House, spending more unaccounted for dollars than any other member. And now his aide and love interest has had her fill of him and is suing him for harrassment here, there, and everywhere else they have been going for the past 10 or 12 years.

Her name, believe it or not, is "Winsome Packer".

I despise Hastings, but I have to admit I always look at sexual harassment lawsuits (from any gender) with a cautious eye. So easy to accuse, so difficult to prove, and even if proven to be utterly false the reputation of the accused is often ruined for life.
