I'd say ga-ridge...but don't know how it is said in the regional accents.
Thought gar-aaj was from American TV shows....

Thought gar-aaj was from American TV shows.... I swear on the BBC they say it "ga-raaj", with heavier emphasis on the "ga" (similar to how southerners emphasize the "po" in "po-lice") but I'll pay closer attention in future. "Ga-ridge" sounds like Hillbilly twang.
