Can you imagine what McLobster would taste like...chicken? In my area Burger King is advertising "Two for one Chicken sandwiches", or something like that. I always go to the mom and pop places when I want a quick bite. OK, I don't mind Wendys...maybe I just have a weakness for redheads...but some of their food is actually, OK. When I was pregnant, Wendy's was the only food that wouldn't stay down. You have a picky constitution..you got fat on McDees? Meh...we are all different. Or were you eating sushi, with a paid nutritionist by your side? LOL

Some of us don't go to drive in places enough to know the menu. I go to McD every few months so know what to order. I haven't been to another fast food place in many years, so I would go in and take time to see the menu.

I've seen the double menus at some drive-thrus, I want to say Taco Bell has them. They are only helpful if there is a long wait though. If someone pulls up behind you and its your turn to order, you order.

You don't need a depression in the sushi container - that is what the lid is for.

Yeah, but I think beer companies can use it as a way to introduce new products, and unload less popular varieties. Soda is pretty cheap, and companies would probably prefer that you buy more than needed. Beer is too, from the manufacturers perspective. Most of the price is sin taxes and goes to the government, not the retailer, distributor, or brewer. It's barley, water, hops, and yeast. All dirt cheap when bought in quantity. If the government wasn't taxing the shit out of every step in the chain you could get a twelve pack of beer for around the same price as a twelve pack of Coke. Beer would be a couple of cents cheaper. The ingredients for beer are cheaper than the sweetener in soda.

Beer would be a couple of cents cheaper. The ingredients for beer are cheaper than the sweetener in soda. You sure now that they're using corn syrup instead of cane sugar or something artificial? Corn is the most heavily subsidized crop in the country. Its byproducts must be wicked cheap. I make my assesment based on nearly 25 years experience in manufacturing cost analysis in food plants that used grain products, such as barley, sugar, and corn sweeteners (I worked in cereal and baking mix manufacturing plants). And knowledge acquired during DW's 5 years in cost analysis at the biggest corn wet miller in the country.

I've been many places where beer is cheaper than soda. It is because U.S. Taxes alcohol so much.
Several years ago I was with friends in the Bahamas and we decided to make some rum and OJs.y friends got excited when the rum was so cheap but I warned them that OJ prices would make up for it.

I don't know if someone else mentioned this but re: soda being cheaper in the US. It is because the US subsidized corn syrup which goes into US made soft drinks, and most other countries still use sugar. In Germany you can always get a rack of beer cheaper than a rack of coke. And you can also just fill your little plastic crate that has a deposit on it with whatever soda you want- buying as many or few as it pleases you.

Now I feel slightly ripped off by the local homebrew co-op. I can't make beer cheaper than I can make root beer. Of course I don't buy the barley by the truck full. We didn't either. We bought it by the rail car, 200,000 pounds per car. It also helps to come from a family of small grain farmers.

What about the wasabi? I like to mix the wasabi in the soy sauce, I wouldn't want to smear it on each piece of the roll. I use the lid as a container, but usually have to prop it up with something to concentrate the soy/'sabi on one side. I like the idea of adding an area into the lid.
As for the drive thru, I don't think I've used one in a long time, and especially not at peak times. I can go inside and get my food quickly and correctly. Oftentimes, I've finished eating and am leaving when the car that was last in line is just getting its food! I do get that there are scenarios where staying in the car may be simpler (a lot of kids, perhaps). Still, if speed is your goal, you might do better parking.

If you pour that tiny packet of soy sauce in there, it doesn't pool up in that large of a space. And yes, you could pour the soy on top - but how I was taught to eat sushi is to take the soy, put in the amount of wasabi you want, stir it up and then dip each piece of sushi in the soy-wasabi mixture. I don't know what to do with the extra wasabi they give me if I don't mix it with soy, as it is too spicy for me to just eat.

that's why you lift one corner of the lid onto something - forces the soy into a lid corner where you can add your wasabi and mix and dunk. I generally use the wadded up wrapper from the chopsticks to lift the corner of the lid thereby forcing the soy to pool in the lower corner.
