I've decided not to do that math.
Unless, of course, I have baby geniuses on my hands who graduate High School at 7 or something. Then I am golden

I have a friend that will be 68 when her daughter graduates from HS. But, her daughter is adopted..So at least no fertility treatments in menopause. Not necessarily so. 50 isn't completely out of the question for getting pregnant. Many people think they are going through menopause, but really those ovaries spit out all their remaining eggs and if all the planets align - whoops! I just went and checked that I took my pill this morning!

I've decided not to do that math. Might be for the best. When I first read this thread, I was thinking how old these people must have been when they had kids & glad I wasn't that old. Then I did the math & realized I was around the same as most people & how old I was going to be when my kids were out of the house. Then I got depressed

46 for Pop Tart, 50 or 51 for Cupcake (if she stays with us), depending on whether or not we have her repeat 1st grade.

I have to admit I'm a bit jealous of the posters who will be/were under 40 when their kids become/became legal adults! Not I but that's probably because I don't have any kids yet. I'm 33 and don't anticipate having children for another 4-5 years. I don't regret on waiting until later in life as I spent my late teens and 20's partying, traveling and only being responsible for myself. I applaud people that did have kids earlier and tripped out when a girl I graduated with told us her oldest is in high school. Different strokes for different folks.

50 and 52. It's weird to think that some of my high school classmates have kids who have graduated HS and are probably in college. I'm still glad I waited.

My high school classmates have grandkids older than mine. I'm pretty sure my aunt was a grandma somewhere between 40 and 45. My youngest cousin was the first of us to get pregnant. She was 16. It was weird watching Bill Cosby's "Himself" with her, my aunt, and my mom. I was the only one that didn't get the jokes during his act on his wife giving birth. It took me almost another decade to "get it."
