I imagine President Obama has to be thrilled to have Hillary running for the Presidential nomination. He should have a relative easy two years in office with all the Republicans going after Clnton. They will almost forget he's there. He will be resting rather easy the next twenty months or so.

All I know is since she announced, the news cycle almost skips the Iran nuclear issue. Or the news is skipping any Republican complaints about it

What Iran nuclear issue? That's being put to rest for those that can read versus those that listen to the right wing money grubbers on the radio.
And those repos that want to complain about it are in the "do nothing ever party" that don't understand this accord at all because they are just stupid.
Iran will not be acquiring any nukes in the near future and 20 years ago the Repo magpies said it would be 10 years.

I have to just say- who in the hell gave the USA or Israel the right to determine who else gets nukes?
I keep hearing this bullshit- that it is OK to strike Iran because they might make a nuke which would threaten Israel, yet it is most assuredly not OK for Iran to strike at Israel for having nukes that threaten Iran.
Really? Are we stupid? The only smart move we can make is to get the fuck out of there- too bad the big money is praying for war.
That may be enough- Clinton isn't going into WW3 without a good reason- it is going to take a Bush

The previous two posters are going off point already just to attack a point of view of politics they abhor. That is ok, but again, I ask the question: Is the President going to be a happy camper the last part of his term because Republicans are going to go after Hillary and forget about him? Remember, if they are all racists hating the black President as some claim, they would never go off target on him.

Remember, if they are all racists hating the black President as some claim, they would never go off target on him. Now you are going off point and introducing racism which was not part of your OP. Have I gone off point? Has there not been a common thread of Republicans are racist and hate him for the color of his skin and that is why they go after all his programs? Could the reason be easier than that? Could it be because he is a Democrat left winger and liberals use the race card to muddy the waters? And now they have an easy target to shift to? My opening premise was not one particular overriding thought of Republican outrage towards the President. My premise was he might have an easy 20 months emotionally because Republicans are going after Hillary now. If the op is not specific enough for you, be my guest to start your own thread but please be damn specific in what you want. All I want is a discussion of whether the President will have an easy emotional closeout to his Presidency with the Republican majority. dj gave a legitimate answer, imo. The two others, and now you, have not.

It's not offpoint. I was responding to the "now they will ignore Obama" premise.

You opened the door to thoughts and opinions of other political issues.

Tenn reminds me of the record Proud Mary.... I started a thread the other day titled 'N.J. Man Goes Out of Business Over 'White History Month'. Eight pages and most of the comments and discussion have nothing directly related to the N.J. business, the subject of the thread. But I did not admonish any posters for going 'off point'. It is just a thread on a message board.

I like being the party of No. Not just No, but HELL NO. And this is exactly why congress can't get shit done. Republicans would rather do nothing at all than work to agree to do anything. I would mention how Loretta Lynch's nomination to be the Attorney General has been stalled forever by the republicans, even though Republicans hate Holder with a passionate fury. Can't even act together to get in a new AG to replace one they can't stand. However, I'm sure I would get scolded for going off topic.

Obama probably totally loves it now....at a certain point, he probably just accepted that things aren't getting done but at least he got health care passed. As long as he had some signature achievement, you probably don't really care at a certain point.

Being willing to vote for a social democrat does not make one a "socialist" at all. However, it's such a toxic word to the castigators on the right I expect we will see it bandied about as often as possible. It's already started here.
So far all the candidates on the right are fascists!
Except trump. He's a clownist.
