I had been having a plantar faciatis problem for about 10 days now. It got worse from a slight ankle sprain. I talked to others about the problem and one person told me how to use KT Tape (Kinesiology Therapeutic). That's the tape you see on tennis pros during TV matches.
I bought some and put one-half strip on my tender area. Immediate relief. DH had a sore place by his knee. He put the other half of the strip on after reading online how to apply it because it stretches. Immediate relief.
The amount of stretch depends on where the tape is applied and for what problem area so it's important to watch the videos online.

Where did you get it? Funny I clicked on this having no idea what the subject was about. My son told me the other day that he is suffering from this. I had never heard of it so any info you can give would be appreciated.

CVS pharmacy. You can look at it online. There are 2 kinds. Cotton and synthetic. The synthetic costs more but will last longer. The video needs to be watched because of how the tape is applied. www.kttape.com/instructionsFor my problem, I used one-half strip of the tape on the bottom of my heel forward. Not stretched. A friend also puts one half tape across her instep. My DH put one-half strip on the side of his knee. All better. My tape is still on even though I showered this morning. I am going to see how long I can keep it on until it comes off on it's own. The synthetic is supposed to stay in place up to 4 or 5 days.
