I'm not disputing this guy is an idiot, but isn't getting reelected what every, both politician, both liberal and conservative, wants?

Yes'um miz swamp, that's true, but until this guy showed up even the most left wing left wingers would makw an effort to be subtle about it. The only subtle thing about Jesse junior seems to be that just because he's in a empty room he must think he's by himself.

The mask is off the kook left now. That's why we just had the biggest electoral turnover in 70 years. And 2010 was just the appetizer.

Henry, I have to ask, was part of the speech taken out of context? It seemed disjointed at points. I did love all the empty chairs behind him, though. Speaking to an empty hall does have it's benefits, as no one other than Cspan hears your ramblings.

There are a LOT of weirdo Democrats-- I mean just look at the last Speaker of the House, Nacy Pelosi. Think about Barney Frank, Shiela Jackson Lee, Vice President, Joe "stand up for chuck" Biden, and on and on. I think there are actually parallels to the Democratic Party train wreck and the Charlie Sheen train wreck. They are both in their own worlds where they think they're the normal ones and everyone calling them to account and pointing out the problems with their views are the crazy ones.

Isn't what Rep. Jackson is proposing the same as the "Four Freedoms" that FDR reeled off so many years ago? The only difference seems to be that Rep. Jackson proposes amending the US Constitution rather than simply declaring these rights by edict, as FDR did. This is the socialism that is promoted by so many in our country and on this, and other, discussion boards. It is simply converting this country from a nominal capitalism to pure socialism. The appropriate question is not what is wrong with Rep. Jackson, but what is wrong with those who support him and his proposals. It is probably not possible to elect a veto proof majority in Congress to completely eliminate the proposal and occasional passing of legislation such as Rep. Jackson proposes. The ERA, Anti-Abortion Amendments and the proposal on this board for an immunity for the internet are just as silly and potentially destructive of the traditional American way of life. I suspect that someday, most of these or some form of these will be passed as legislation or submitted to the People as Amendments to the US or State Constitution. What would be wrong with all the people [except those employed by the government] being essentially on welfare?
