I only did it the one time. After that meeting a co-worker took me aside and told me how it worked there. The nice thing was the dumb one was so stupid, they didn't realize I was laughing at their "joke."

Hard to say.
Like Archie, organization and filing have been issues in the past, I'm trying to do better on this job.
Other "soft skills" that I've had to work on (and still getting there) are attention to detail and recognizing problems on the fly.
In the past, it was a bit of a struggle to learn how to calibrate radiation detection instruments. In addition, learning and becoming familiar with volumes and volumes of federal regulations took a lot of time and effort.

How to keep a poker face when idiots say stupid things. It's one thing when people are actually stupid but when they're not supposed to be and they say something really dumb? Oh, boy. I learned that in a meeting when this dipsy doodle said something really stupid and I started laughing because I thought it was a joke. Oops. The only one who laughed was me. Everyone knew the person was dumb but "connected." Live and learn. Also learning not to agree with clients who mention that their books and records are a complete disaster. "Yes, they certainly are" will lead to getting called on the carpet by your boss when the client takes offense. The customer isn't always right, who knew?

I taught myself Spanish as a 2nd language. Even though our family is from Mexico, my parents don't speak Spanish. It was used by my grandparents as a code language to keep things from the children. I have become fluent and am the only one of my generation who speaks it.

I guess I didn't learn it for my job, but I use it a lot every day at work.
