I just love this show! There is absolutely nothing negative I can say about it. I like all the characters so much I can't really chose a favorite here. Well maybe Mike's Mom Peg and Jim. BTW I never understood using a dog of the opposite sex to play the part? Why not find a male dog if the character has to be male? Or make the character a she. The dog that plays Jim is a female named Susie Q. One thing I have also noticed last year and this year's new season is that Cleo King who plays Carl's hilarious Grandma is has been in fewer and fewer episodes? I do hope she is not leaving the show.
Has anyone else noticed that Katy Mixon who plays Victoria has gotten a little bigger this year and is wearing baggy tops and hiding behind things? I think she is preggers but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Okay let's talk!

Sorry, but I feel the show is slipping. Molly used to be a strong willed character, who tried to keep Mike on a straight path towards common sense. This year, she seems lost and losing all semblance of maturity.
My wife said the same thing about Katy. Looks like she might be pregnant. Or maybe to many good brownies.... We loved her in Two and a Half Men. She appeared twice on the show. Played different characters with Charlie

I like Mike & Molly but have to agree with Value Buy that it is slipping a little this season.
I also noticed Victoria has gained a bit.

I actually think last seasons episodes were a bit lagging. I wasn't really excited about the whole Molly becoming a writer storyline. But I think this year has gotten a bit better. Oh and last night's episode should have satisfied you VB, a strong willed Molly leading Mike to a path of common sense. I thought it was funny.

I love Mike and Molly. I like strong willed Molly, yet two of my favorite episodes were when Molly was sort of out of character. The first date episode when she was high on wine and cough medicine and the episode when she gave the speech to her fourth graders and left the classroom through the window.
One good thing about the Molly becoming a writer storyline was when Susan Sarandon guest starred.

I have so many favorite episodes it's hard for me to narrow them down but I will say they mostly come from seasons 1-3.

Loved this weeks episode. LMAO that Mike thinks Mervyn's is where you buy fancy duds. And Molly's publisher is a total douchebag!

No no no! I was kind of relieved when it seemed they had stopped trying to have a baby. Now it is back on the table again. I am sorry but it is not needed on this show! Bringing babies into certain shows just changes the whole dynamic of the show and not for the better IMHO. You get the same old tired storylines, up all night with the crying baby, spit up on the clothes, blah blah blah. What is wrong with just keeping it an adult only comedy.
Okay rant over.

I haven't seen this week's episode yet but I agree. I was relieved when they quit trying. This show doesn't need a baby.

I enjoyed this weeks episode in Mudlick. I really like Margo Martindale. It is too bad The Millers didn't work our for her, I hope they find something new for her.

Liked the new episode. It was good to explain where Peggy came from. I wish they had done more with the Cinderella versus favored sister angle.

I have mixed feelings about the finale. I did enjoy it and it was great to see Carl's Nana again. BUT there is NO WAY in Hell Nana would let Carl act the way he did. The Nana we know would have pulled him out of that party by the ear.

No premiere date yet. Probably sometime in November. I think they are having to work around Molly McCarthy's movie schedule.

I haven't seen this week's episode yet but I agree. I was relieved when they quit trying. This show doesn't need a baby. I agree, but at least it makes sense that newlyweds would want to make a family. Shows where suddenly 55 year old women are having babies as the rest of their kids age just look desperate. And Rachel having a baby on friends was just stupid and terrible. Absolutely no need for that.

I actually didn't mind it as much on Friends because you very rarely saw the kid after it was born. I am not sure why they felt the need to have her get pregnant (it added nothing to the story) but at least we didn't have to deal with a crying infant afterwards. I actually stopped watching Mike and Molly a while back but I will probably watch the final season. I LOVED the first season but once they got engaged it started to get on my nerves a bit. Molly turned kind of whiny and into a typical nagging female during that engagement period. Once they got married that aspect got better but I thought the fact that they both had decent jobs and decided to live in her mom's basement was completely silly. Then trying to get pregnant while living in mom's basement - uh no... I just stopped watching it at that point. Are they still living in the basement?

That is actually one of the things that pissed me off about it. A single mother and she was sitting around at the coffee shop and hanging out with her friends with almost no change to her life? No wonder people have an unrealistic view of parenthood. So many shows put kids in of any age and then have them no where in their parent's lives. Perfect example - Everyone loves Raymond. 3 kids, in the house, and the kids were never, ever, ever around. I have kids. It isn't my experience that they spend 18 years (starting at birth) in their room, and only come out for an unrealistic plot line. My experience is more like the Simpsons - they are always there, being themselves, no matter what is happening in your life.

Yeah, but unless the kids are of a certain age no one wants to see that... kids under about the age of 8 are not going to make for an interesting program. I actually thought the kids on Everybody Loves Raymond were around just enough. You knew they were there but the show didn't revolve around them. If it had the show would have tanked after 3 episodes. To me the only reason why they had the 3 kids was because they played a large role in Raymond's character in the fact that he never helped with the kids or did anything around the house.

This is the final season & it is only 13 episodes And they are moving it to Weds I am so pissed it is being cancelled. I mean it makes absolutely no sense that CBS would want to cancel it since it has been a top 25 show for all it's seasons. It only make sense if Melissa McCarthy wants to move onto other things.

I read somewhere that Melissa McCarthy was shocked. I don't get a lot of things the networks do, especially CBS. There are a number of shows in the past that have been cancelled even though the ratings are good. CBS cancelled Cold Case, Without A Trace, and The Eleventh Hour even though they consistently had good ratings. Harry's Law (which was also one of my favorite shows) was cancelled by ABC or NBC (can't remember which one) even though it had good ratings because the age demographic that was watching was not the one they wanted. It seems that sponsors often run what shows stay on TV these days and if the demographic they want is not watching it then the show will get cancelled. It completely pisses me off! This is another reason why having more options like Netflix original series, etc. appeals to me.
