Some days I read this board and pray that the conservatives who post on here are not an accurate sampling of American conservatives.
Other days I'm sure they are. Like those days when I find out that 55% of Americans believe that God created Humankind in our present form. Or that 18% believe that Obama is a Muslim.
On those days I want to cry a little.
Luckily I know that there are a number of completely rational conservatives on this board and they make me want to cuddle with them.

/hugs ;D, I consider myself as libertarian/conservative. I do not belive Obama is muslim or I am sure we would had pictures of him praying to mecca by now. I believe in God, but for the sake that he represents good and that the majority of the ideas that come out of the bible are reasonable and common sense in the ways of good.

A) I leave that up to scientists, most colleges have really good classes on evolution that you could take B) I suppose there is no way to prove that Obama is not a Muslim, except that he's a practicing Christian so that helps. C) Cuddling is still an option, but I'm watching you

Well be it God who created all mankind or some form of super power that you call it what you want. The fact is that as we learn more about the DNA process we did not evolve from a lower specie. Plus the monkey's say there is no way we came from them. They would have killed any specie that acted the way we do.

Evolution does not say that we came from monkeys...
Please point me toward the DNA evidence which disproves evolution. I'd like to read it. Thanks.

Handyman doesn't get cuddles unless he can tell me what primate we did evolve from and can provide the links to show that they've found DNA evidence that proves that we didn't evolve from that primate species!!

Ah: How about looking up the research the work of DR. Stephen Meyer or Molecular biologist Michael Denton and Bio-chemist Michael behe. for starters. Or for easy reading the genius of the human DNA code. As over the past years the ability to unlock the DNA code has even had strong scientific preponents of evolution saying the theory of evolution due to the language of the human DNA is not valid. By the way it was not Darwin who claimed man evolved from the monkey it was a Russian Scientist in the 18th century who made the claim. I cannot remember his name but Darwin quoted him several times.

"Stephen C. Meyer (born 1958) is an American scholar, philosopher and advocate for intelligent design. He helped found the Center for Science and Culture (CSC) of the Discovery Institute (DI), which is the driving force behind the intelligent design movement. Previous to joining the DI, Meyer was a professor at Winthrop University. Meyer is currently vice president and a senior fellow at CSC, and a director of the Access Research Network"

"Michael John Denton (born 25 August 1943) is a British-Australian author and biochemist. In 1973, Denton received his PhD in Biochemistry from King's College London.
In his book Evolution: A Theory in Crisis (1985), Denton questioned the validity of neo-Darwinism and argued that evidence of design exists in nature. The book influenced both Phillip E. Johnson, the father of intelligent design, and George Gilder, co-founder of the Discovery Institute, the hub of Intelligent Design movement, in favour of intelligent design. Denton was an influential proponent of Intelligent Design and was a former Senior Fellow of the Discovery Institute's Center for Science and Culture, hub of the Intelligent Design movement."

"Michael J. Behe (pronounced /ˈbi¢°hi¢°/ BEE-hee; born 1952) is an American biochemist, author, and intelligent design advocate. He currently serves as professor of biochemistry at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania and as a senior fellow of the Discovery Institute's Center for Science and Culture. Behe is best known for his argument for irreducible complexity, which asserts that some biochemical structures are too complex to be adequately explained by known evolutionary mechanisms and are therefore more probably the result of intelligent design. Behe has testified in several court cases related to intelligent design, including the court case Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District that resulted in a ruling that intelligent design was religious in nature."

Well the beauty of the right to disagree with one another is what makes the human race unique. Through disagreement we progress through the search for knowledge and are better for it.
