I know I have not been around too much lately. That's because I have just been hibernating at home and not even working on my clutter. I hope to get going this weekend starting with folding and putting away laundry tonight.
Everyone stay safe and here's to having a productive, healthy and reasonable 2016.

Hiya Kids!
I took one last load for this year to the charity drop-off (this time it was our stuff). I told DH last night that my goal for the New Year is to regain enough space in our garage to store a 3rd car, no later than July. Let's see how that works out. (He'll need to help with the heavier stuff we took out of Mom & Dad's place.)
The plumber should be here in less than 2 hours to begin installing our new toilet. This is LONG overdue, but DH just never got around to it, so I scheduled it.
Happy New Year to you all, & keep on purging & organizing those houses!

Snap I really haven't decluttered much recently, with everything going on. I did take 2 winter coats to the donation bin today though! And I have a bag of DS3's clothes ready for my colleague who has 2 sons. Everybody stay safe. I am very relieved that all four kids are spending the evening at friends' houses tonight (DS3 is just 2 blocks away.) I was worried that the older 3 would want to celebrate in the open air in Paris (the city is on high alert for terrorist attacks.) It's very hard to tell a 23-, 27- and 29-year old what they are or aren't allowed to do. See you all next year!

Hello everyone!
DH and I spent three hours today getting DD#1's iPhone 6 for her Jan 3rd birthday. THREE HOURS!!! How does it take that long to purchase a phone on an account I've had for almost two decades!!!
Somehow, we also ended up with a free mini-tablet and an iPhone 5 for DD#2. DD#2 is paying for her own activation fee and cases.
After all of that, and the additional errands that we ran, I needed a nap!
It's 4:15 here now, and the rest of the day, I need to do some classroom work. I don't think I need to make dinner because I made so much lasagna yesterday that it should last us until at least tomorrow.
Here's my updated task list. This is outside of my regular daily routines and weekly chores.

We had a quiet but very nice NYE with our friend. She had another friend over when we got there, they were eating dinner, so we added our food and all finished dinner together. I didn't know whether we'd end up being the only ones there or almost, or if there would be a ton of people there.
We had no intention of staying till midnight but her son and his GF were out and when the other friend left, she asked us to stay until they got home, so we did, happily. We spent an hour all together and then we left.
DH will do her thank you cards.

Will there be a 2016 thread? I found I needed to declutter my internal surroundings before I could work on the external surroundings, and then alluva sudden it was the last day of the year.

Well I didn't reach my goal this year but 788 items out the door is pretty darn good!
My parents did end up coming to town yesterday with zero notice so that was stressful. But we were able to move the biggest piece of the tree we took down to the backyard and got my washer/dryer stacked today. Oh, and they bought me a steam mop for Christmas? Weird.
I've already taken down the Christmas decor and weeded through it for donations. 2 full bags are in the car but Goodwill was closed yesterday when I went around. I also got 6 new pair of pants for the gym that I love so I have 11 old pair in the bag for donation. Still thinking about my 2016 goal, I'll post that in the new thread today!
