It used to be books, but I'm living very frugally at the moment. We got vouchers that you can trade in for massages from work...I guess that can be seen as a splurge. I'm getting one tomorrow! I loved buying lipsticks and nailwear like 5 years ago, but that period is over.

why would anyone wash ziplock (or store brand) baggies? that is a waste of water and time. You should just straight up re-use them without washing them

Right now... I am trying to decorate my house so I am buying things after living here for eight years. Time to decorate. In the past it's been personal training or other things.

Travel to Europe once a year with DH, although we always manage to redeem miles and/or hotel costs to defray some of the expenses.
Really, really good clothing that lasts forever. Not all of it; right now I'm dressed in Marshall's/Factory outlet stuff, but once in awhile I have something made.
Same for really, really good jewelry- I may buy something once a year.
I'm also getting less frugal about what we throw in the grocery cart- if it's healthier, less processed, better-tasing, we get it. I don't worry about the totals as much as I used to.

For me, it's eating out-nothing like a hot meal that I didn't have to cook. I also received a Kindle as a gift recently, and so I'm finding that I'm quicker to but a new book than I used to be.

Travel -- I like to see a new state every year; a different continent every other year. Tennis -- playing and watching live. I've been to the US Open; only three more slams to go. Massages, pedicures, hair.

Hahahaha! No way I'd admit to that here. I wash ziplock baggies. ;D Ziplock?? Fer shame...you are supposed to use store brand Pfft. Shows what you know. Ziplocks are more durable and can handle more washings before tearing, so at year's end, I'LL have an extra nickel. ;D

Okay, stayed away from this board since I was UE and put a stop to any and all of my splurges. Since I will be starting work again, I can safely say that my first splurge will be some clothes for work that fit. It may be from the local Good Will store to get started, but that be it.
First paycheck gets me a refill on my Olay Degenerist Face Cream. Ahhhhhhh ;D
