I'm looking at one. A friend has one and loves it. Syncs up to his iPhone (but he says the Fitbit app downloads to any phone) and it's helping him not only with exercise, but sleeping and eating. Apparently, it can also monitor you restful vs. restless sleep and your eating patterns.
