WTE Paul? You make no sense. Apparently you and some right wing bloggers have heard this guy out. Seems he could put out his story for free if he wanted to.
Meanwhile in reality most of us aren't reading the book and don't really care one way or the other. Hard to say your reputation is ruined when no one even knows who the heck you are. Since you admit to being completely uninformed, it begs the question- why are you discussing this at all. Your statement that he is anonymous and his reputation hasn't been ruined is tantamount to an admission that you have willfully ignored the OP. You're the one not making any sense on this thread, and now I see why. You have told us this is a big deal even though he isn't named out right. No need to be more informed than that.
My guess is you haven't read the book either. Just the blogs. What proof do you have he is ruined? Please post an excerpt showing so.

I really don't understand the fascination of the Left for her. The left, and in particular the radical feminist left, have a fondness for sexual deviants because there's a place for trolls on the left that they believe will drive Christian conservatives crazy. There is benefit to those whose aim is to impugn Western civilization as corrupt beyond the possibility of repair or reform. They get entertainment on the front end while slowly defining deviancy down over the longer term. The true revolutionaries don't care about their long term reputations, because they don't believe current societal constructs will be in place long enough for it to matter. Their aim is to destroy. Tear down the economy, tear down the military, tear down education, destroy the culture- repeal and replace if you will. They want to make such a mess that they believe that people will then cry out for order and normalcy which they believe they can provide via communism and socialism. When you understand the left from the standpoint of a destructive, revolutionary movement-- what they do suddenly isn't so irrational. Great. Conspiracy theories.
I thought it was conservatives though that were trying to tear down education because it wasn't good enough...

Huge surprise. Not.
Future printings of Lena Dunham’s book, “Not That Kind of Girl,” will feature a disclaimer explaining that a "campus's resident conservative" she implies raped her was not really named “Barry,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
THR reports her description in the book of a man who attended Oberlin College with her and graduated in 2005 led some readers to conclude she was describing a former student whose name is also Barry. His lawyer, Aaron Minc, told the news site Duham’s lawyers have assured him future printings of the book will feature a disclaimer that explains that the Barry described by Dunham was not really named Barry.

A book that does not fully name names that uses a different first name than the real one, how like usual.
It was bad style if the book did not point that it was a fake name in the original printings.

Keep crying wolf, ladies. See who comes to your aid when you really need help. I never heard the term 'right wing rape deniers' but statements like from right wingers would be a good reason to come up with it

Thought the same thing when I read it. Paul is the one who is always talking about tearing everything down. Maybe the far right isn't that much different from the far left, when it comes to tearing shit up?

The very far left and the far right have a lot in common, they are full of shit and don't speak for the majority of us.
