I hate every wine I've ever tasted, but I brew my own beer. My specialty is brown ales.

Cw, there are several beer and wine drinkers on the EE board, you'll get more of a response there.

I don't have a craving for beer all that often, but when I do, I go for British/Irish style ales. my favorite was an Irish cream ale that you can't get in the US - Kilkenny. I'd bring that stuff home by the case when I was working overseas, long before the liquid restrictions came into play. oh, and of course - the ever present light beer on the bench at hockey scrimmages. can't forget those!

I've never acquired a taste for beer. I'm more of a hard liquor person myself, specifically a margarita on the rocks - no salt.

Crap, I started a post, my computer froze up and it's gone. I'm a wine drinker, but my dad has gotten really into different beers, so I've tried quite a few over the past few months. I like Dogfish Head Red & White, Midas Touch (can't remember who makes it), Troegg's Mad Elf (at Christmas), and he's got a really good blueberry beer, but I can't remember what it's called. And being from PA I like Yuengling. I also like a lot of the Sam Adam's beers.

I have not had a Narry since, the early 80s when I lived in RI. During college and before getting married, I lived near the old Narragansett Brewery on Cranston Street, and Route10, in Providence.

Someone new bought the brewery a few years ago and is doing a good job with the brand. They even sell it at a packy within walking distance of my house. Tonight I had a couple of Blue Moon drafts.

Archie, I've been seeing Narry a lot more lately too! in fact, a cousin that stayed with me (from NB, Canada, no less) brought a 12-pk of Narry cans on his last trip. I just pitched the last couple of survivor cans when I cleaned out the fridge for the power loss that came with Irene.

When I first was up in RI, starting college, some of the guys kept referring to a liquor store as the "Package Store".
Tonight I had a couple of Blue Moon drafts.
One of my favorites.

Oh, yeah...! That was a decent neighborhood. The brewery was just of Cranston Street, as you go underneath Route 10. If we had the apartment windows open you would get the scent of brewing beer.

I lived off Union Avenue, near Route 10. A bus line ran through there and into downtown Providence.
Ever go up to Neutaconkanut Hill?

One of the our auditors at work brought me a bottle of Founder's KBS a bourbon barrel aged imperial stout. I tried to get some when it was released in the spring, but it was sold out by the time I got to the store. I can't wait to try it. I will probably share it with my future BIL while camping this weekend. (by the way, is my SIL's future husband count as my future BIL?)

I like a Sam Adams once in a while. I like the Boston Lager or Pale Ale. And, some of their summer beers are pretty good too .
