I didn't put it in religion because probably mostly westerners practice yoga with out religion. Its OK I approve it Do you practice yoga? How long you did it? Do you practice with religious or spiritual thought or only for exercising? How is your yogi/yogini? Do you practice pranayama or else mudras? Do you meditate after yoga? ETA to change title to skip mudras and pranayama

OK I think people do not have interest or else no body saw it. I'm gonna bump it 1 time only. If anybody has interest in spiritual yoga please tell it to me here or else DM me. Possibly pranayama and mudras are gonna not help children a lot except to learn. But yoga will help them very much. I am teaching yoga to children at temple and they are very calm. First of all few were so hyper and possibly they got AD/HD except after few weeks they are more calm in yoga but also in the temple. Do you have a hyper child? Did you take them to a yogi? If you did it please tell did it help them. Also I'm gonna change thread title only to Yoga. Probably its gonna scare some people to talk about mudras and pranayama.

Tiki, I love yoga when I'm practicing regularly . I didn't fit much in while we were away and haven't started back yet. My local class is down to once a week and so full that I sometimes find it counterproductive to go But I have lots of props, etc at home and I always feel better when I'm practicing. My sister is currently going to instructor class, and while she is across the country, I'm hoping to convince her to skype me in on some of her classes Ive tried to get the kids into it on occasion, but for me yoga is very inwardly focused... If they are around, it breaks that focus so again, counterproductive to me. They aren't all that interested, but I do try to pass on centering and breathing ideas if I think they will help.

I love yoga. I don't practice as regularly as I would like, but man, I feel so much better when I do. I am not religious or spiritual, but it does wonders for how I feel physically and mentally.

Ya better don't mix up kids yoga and adults yoga! Kids are more calm except there still more hyper than adults!

If you like to do it you can do short thing every day. When I have little time I do only sun salutation and it requires 5 minutes maximum. If you don't do for religion its gonna be enough for some days.

Well, my 'kids' are 13 and 16 OH! My temple kids are 5 to 7. Daughter of my yogini helps me and also she can translate sign for me. I'm gonna post a video of her in an other thread now. When I was born mother put me on her when she did yoga also she posed me little bit. Infant can't do vrksasana but I was pretty good for savasana!
