UPDATE: Ozzie died last year from his injuries, and Harriet, picked up a new mate. He is named M15 which seems so cold, but I have no vote in that matter...
Here is a live feed of an American Eagle nest in southwest Florida. If anyone is interested in following the nesting of a pair of Eagles, please feel free to follow the link. It is a 24 hour feed of the nest and the Eagles.
Ozzie and Harriet returned to the same tree again this year, and she has laid one egg, and everyone is anticipating a second egg any day now.
Southwest Florida Eagle Cam | Facebook dickpritchettrealestate.com/eagle-feed.html
Update: Two eggs have hatched since Christmas. The young eaglets are already becoming a handful, as far as staying under the parent, keeping them warm. Both are hungry, and never turn down a good piece of fresh and not so fresh fish.
UPDATE January 20TH 2015 Tonight E5 passed away on the nest. This eaglet was the first egg to hatch..
E 6 IS REALLY GROWING!

Might want to edit in actual links. All I have is text, nothing "clickable"

Watching eagle nests are great. I have watched the ones on Catalina and the channel islands for several years. Love watching the babies and how quickly they grow and develop.

I will be wasting my time on the eagle cam, rather than household chores. A win in the short term for me, but a loss in the long term with the wife

Just wanted to boost the thread for members that may not have caught my original post. Ozzie and Harriet are sitting on two eggs. I try to check in every couple of days on them to make sure everything is fine. So far, so good.

I like watching these eagle-cam sites when there's nesting going on. I posted one last spring of a nest in Washington or Oregon.
Thanks for sharing.

In case anyone is interested they have a countdown clock on the time the first egg should hatch. Of course the time would be approximate. 40 and 1/2 hours from this post time.

Today is the day! The first egg has a cracked shell this morning, but has not totally emerged yet. Should be a grand show today.

Value Buy-Have Harriet's problem resolved itself? I think there was concern she was unsteady on her legs.

Value Buy-Have Harriet's problem resolved itself? I think there was concern she was unsteady on her legs. She is much better. The state of Florida was involved in observing her balancing issues, but never intervened, and she has been stable since Christmas Eve.
She did do a "" on Ozzie on nest switching duties this morning and he set there with her poop on his head for the hours he was on the nest. Incubating the eggs can be a dirty business! Harriet is back on the nest now. Anyone going to the website, can click on "pictures" or "videos" at the top of the screen and see some beautiful pictures of the couple.

Poor Ozzie. He gets little respect.

Two years ago we had four bald eagles hanging around our property, 2 adults and two full size juveniles. They used to grab the bigger snakes right out of the pond that is in viewing distance from the house. They stayed around for about 6 months. They had no nest.

That baby is so close! Thanks for the link. We have a pair that hang around in the fall and winter and then only see them sporadically in spring and summer. I'm not sure where they go to nest.

If you are ever interested in seeing a number of bald eagles, head to Reelfoot Lake in northwest Tennessee. It has a modest year-round population but a very large winter population of bald and golden eagles.

I didn't see the hatchling as Harriet or Ozzie was sitting. I did see the egg shell.
Thanks.

I didn't see the hatchling as Harriet or Ozzie was sitting. I did see the egg shell. Thanks. If you click on videos on the top of the feed, you can find one where Ozzie is assisting the breakout. The birds do not cooperate with the cameras for our benefit. Just saw the eaglet in the nest and he/she is a fluffy puff. Harriet has not been back since the hatch and does not know she has a chick. Unlike in animal births, mom does not have to participate at the hatch! Ozzie handled himself well, but eaglet will not get it's first meal until mom comes back with something, or relieves Ozzie to go fish.
