I hate terrorists. Sick to death of these Muslim extremists murdering our people and recruiting our young, and inciting violence all over the world. ...sigh.. I am even sicker of the people that pretend they are not out there.

Krickitt, I don't think anyone here has ever said they aren't out there. I can't speak for anyone else, but they are out there, but I also don't see every Muslim as a potential terrorist.

Who's defending themselves here, krickitt? What's to defend. Have any of us committed a terrorist act? Are we terrorists? I don't know if there are any muslims here, but I'm certainly not one. You're sick of people saying there are no muslim terrorists? Well, nobody the F said that!

This guy was not a terrorist. He is a revolutionary fighting the oppressor.

To him, archie, I suppose he is. To those he murdered, he's a terrorist.

Would you please post some evidence of statistically significant terrorists of these "other stripes"? Because the very vast majority of them seem to have several specific things in common, which makes them of one "stripe"...

McVeigh, for one. I'm not going to sit here and name the non-muslims who have wreaked terror here, and in other parts of the world, Ed. In fact, I think I'll just ignore your posts from now on. You never have anything to say that isn't either bigoted, or downright foolish.

Seriously? Can you narrow it down to ones where someone was actually killed or injured, and then widen the scope to the whole world, not just the US. Until recently, we have been very good at keeping Islamic terrorists out of our country...let's be real, ok?

Hell, man! There were dead children in that building in Oklahoma! That's about as real as it gets!

I'm not going to argue this with you. There is NO statistically significant evidence that large numbers of terrorist attacks are being perpetrated by non-muslims based on any type of religious philosophy. If you're going to try to argue that all the terrorist attacks committed by Muslims throughout the world are only related incidentally and that it's just a coincidence that the perpetrators are vastly Muslim males between the ages of 18 and 35, and that they are NOT commiting these acts in the name of their religion, I simply won't discuss it, because it isn't true, and you know it.

I didn't say anything of the sort. As you usually do, you've raised a molehill to a mountain. What I said was ... all terrorists are not Muslim. They're not ... and you know it. It doesn't matter whether the terrorism is based on religious philosophy, or not. Terrorism is terrorism.

More importantly, I don't believe we can say all terrorists are Muslim.
Although, I doubt an 80 year old grandmother is a terrorist but how do you avoid profiling? [/size]

Of course, all terrorists aren't Muslims. The Sri Lankans would like to point out the Tamils. The Irish would like to bring attention to the IRA. The Greeks wish the ELA would up and go away.

Sadly, I'm not sure you're being sarcastic. I wonder if this gunman had "very human motivations" for shoulting Allahu Akbar while murdering American soldiers?

US Terrorism 2009 # 2009 April 8: According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, intruders left malware in power grids, water, and sewage systems that could be activated at a later date. While the attacks which have occurred over a period of time seem to have originated in China and Russia, it is unknown if they are state-sponsored.[50] DEATH # 2009 May 31: Assassination of George Tiller. Dr. George Tiller, a doctor who provided late-term abortions was shot to death in a Wichita, Kansas church. Tiller was shot previously in 1993, and his abortion clinic had been bombed in 1985. Alleged assassin Scott Roeder, who believes in justifiable homicide of abortion providers, was arrested for the killing.[51][52] # 2009 May 25: Crude bomb explodes in a Starbucks in Manhattan's Upper East Side. On July 14, Kyle Shaw age 17 was arrested and plead not guilty. Police said his motive was to emulate "Project Mayhem" a series of assaults on corporate America portrayed in the movie Fight Club.[53] Shaw's lawyer claimed he was a "troubled youth". On November 16, 2010, Shaw was sentenced to 3½ years in prison.[54] DEATH# 2009 June 1: Arkansas recruiting office shooting One military recruiter was killed, and another critically injured, by gunshot at a Little Rock, Arkansas Army/Navy Career Center. The suspect, Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, said he was part of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and upset over U.S. killing of Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan.[55] DEATH# 2009 June 10: United States Holocaust Memorial Museum shooting. 88-year-old James Wenneker von Brunn walked into the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. and shot a guard, who later died. Von Brunn was critically wounded when security guards immediately returned fire.[56] On January 6, 2010, von Brunn died of natural causes at a hospital near where he was imprisoned.[57] Von Brunn was a self-described white supremacist and neo-Nazi.[58] DEATH# 2009 November 5: Fort Hood Shooting, Army psychiatrist Nidal Malik Hasan opens fire and kills 13 people at the Fort Hood Army base in Texas in what Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano described as an act of “violent Islamic terrorism.” [59] 2010-Present 2010 February 18: Joseph Stack flew a small plane into an IRS building in Austin, Texas, believed to be in retaliation to the U.S. Government. 2010 September 1: Jamie Lee wearing explosives and carrying a gun took hostages at the headquarters of the Discovery Channel in Silver Spring, Maryland before being killed by police. He was protesting the channel's "anti environmental" message and programming encouraging birth of humans who he called filthy.[60][61] 2011 January 6: Three Packages detonate in the mail rooms of two Maryland state government buildings. FRANKFURT, Germany — German prosecutors said Thursday that there was "cause to believe" that the fatal shooting of two U.S. airmen was an "Islamist-motivated act," NBC News reported. In a written statement, the General Prosecutor's Office in Karlsruhe announced it had taken up the investigation into Wednesday's attack in which two U.S. service members were also seriously injured. "Due circumstances of the incident there is cause to believe that the attack was an Islamist-motivated act," the statement read. The suspect, who has been identified as a 21-year-old ethnic Albanian from Kosovo, was due to be brought before an investigative judge at the federal court Thursday, NBC News said. German Federal Police, in coordination with Frankfurt police authorities, have been tasked to investigate. In 2007, U.S. and German officials said they thwarted a possible attack by a small cell of German and Turkish nationals who had trained in Pakistan and were planning to bomb U.S. targets in Germany, among them Ramstein Air Base. Those arrested were alleged to have had links to the extremist Islamic Jihad Union. www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41884024/ns/world_news-europe/
