I stopped some time in middle school. I never ate 95% of the candy so I think I just didn't want to go to the effort of figuring out a costume one year and went and bought a bag of the candy I liked. Well, unless you count the dressing up and going out hoping for some free drinks I've been doing for the last decade as trick or treating. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/whisky.gif)

I didn't know anyone ever really got out of it. Going door to door ended for a time at age 12. I say that because later you have kids and follow them around, then later still there are the grandkids. In between...well, somebody has to be there to open the door and give out treats. And, we never really stopped decorating. Guess what, I think I will stop being involved with trick or treating when they pry that "Jack-o-lantern" from my cold dead fingers ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/wink.png)

If so, it's at least 33 or higher, because I still tax the kids when they get home with their bag of treats. Last year we used it to explain the concept of progressive taxes. The tax rates were; 0-8 pieces 0% tax 9-36 pieces 15% tax 36-87 pieces 25% tax 88+ pieces 35% tax They were not amused. We did our first trick or treat night of the season tonight and I really want to do this!
