The neighbors down the block do. In addition to orange and purple sparkly lights and a mini graveyard, they currently have Barbie dolls hanging from one of their trees, with a sign that reads "Twerk or Treat"

One thing I really enjoy is that about 1/2 the families that come by bring their costumed dogs too. I get everything from a poodle in a tutu to a Chihuahua in a Superman costume (so appropriate!) to a pit bull as Darth Vader. One year we got a Chihuahua "jockey" riding a Labrador "horse". This is why PetSmart is making so much $$$ these days.

My kids favorite house was our dentists, who also lived in our neighborhood. He gave out small cans of soda. Drumming up business? I love seeing people's homes!!

No. Thnks to our health insurance tripling we can't afford to celebrate any holiday now. I feel you pain, just when we were going to be able to start getting back on track DH found out they are taking out about $300 more a month for health insurance We are cutting way back on Christmas this year and it' been kinda rough. We are making it, but just barely. We will push through (hopefully). I'd like to know what in the hell the union is exactly doing because every year we lose more money Anyway, back to Halloween decor!

Favorite Drink: Sometimes I drink water... just to surprise my liver!

Because I remember being the mom, walking around with my kids and wishing I had even just one piece of candy, I now make it a point to offer it to the adults with the kids too. So far I haven't had a single one say no. On the super freezing nights, trick or treating, I was SO grateful for the people that served hot apple cider to all the adults, out with their kids! One of my daughter's (and mine) favorite 'treats' she was given, was a toothbrush. She reminded me of that a day , or two ago. The dad at that house was a dentist, so they gave out toothbrushes every year. What a great idea! And the kids loved it! →I love everyone's decorations! The year they had poison Tylenol I stopped giving candy for a few years since most parents were throwing it away. I liked giving party favors. Now I don't get kids at all so don't buy candy. When I used to get about 5 kids I would buy some candy then if I ran out keep a bowl of money as treats. Mostly pennies with a few nickles and dimes, little kids could take a handful but big kids I would put a handful in their bag. Kids like money but if they were under age 3 I made sure the parents were ok with it, don't want them eating pennies. Those are good ideas. Didn't you have kids that picked out the bigger coins, like they do picking a candy bar?

LOL came in hung looks good yea / umm.... noooo to the second / bottom I really like the 2nd one for Halloween, but I wouldn't get it either, for the same reason. In my bathroom: I put up a purple shower curtain liner and a clear curtain (in front) with a black grid pattern on it. Then I hang black and purple towels, with small black hand towels that say BOO!

No. But I've been lazy and haven't swept the porch area in ages, so there's dead leaves piled up around the steps and cobwebs hanging off of the porch light. That counts, right?

Funny I was thinking the same TMR but wanted to add to put down a pumpkin no carving necessary just put one down in the leaves and that is a wonderful animated Avatar!
