I always get water in my ears in the shower, I guess I never really thought about it though.

Stupid question, but wouldn't you get water in your ears with the rain fall showerhead? I have a phobia about getting water in my ears and rarely do when showering with my regular shower head. I've had friends who call me crazy and say they intentionally get water in their ears to flush them out. ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/shocked.gif) So, is water in the ears during showering normal? Is this one more thing I'm abnormal about? If it bothers you, try using earplugs in the shower. I don't like getting water in my ears, either.

When we had a stand up shower at the old apt, we installed a rain fall shower and you stood right under it so it was a all over thing. Now in our house we installed a claw foot tub with the hand held shower nozzle in a cradle, we have to sit in the tub to shower. While I love it for taking baths, I do miss standing to take a shower sometimes. I'm about 50/50, I would guess. Doesn't matter what I'm doing, I like my sides to feel equal. Marley- I used to live in an old converted house (to apts), with a claw foot tub and no shower enclosure. The light switch was right behind the tub. It had curtain rods suspended from the ceiling. I used 4 shower curtains (overlapped) to be sure I didn't get the walls wet. -I think four was over kill, but I didn't have any problems! Anyway, maybe you could find something like that, or rig one up. ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/smiley.png)

We plan on doing that sometime in the future. Our problem was the ceiling light was in the way of putting the shower ring up but this past spring our roof leaked and ruined the bathroom ceiling and when it got repaired we had the light removed from the ceiling and now have lights on either side of the medicine cabinet. Now we just have to save up because I priced out rings and ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/yikes.png) they are pricey! Maybe next year though ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/smiley.png)
