Hey all, it's shanendoah (just with my Halloween name and avatar, I'll go back to being me next week).
I'm going to try and get back in this starting for November. It feels like forever since I've been accountable, and I am falling back into my old vending machine habits, which is bad on the wallet and the waistline.
So I wanted to pop in, say hi, and also say how valuable this thread still is for me. Our dealership told us a month or so ago that they thought we needed new tires. C and I weren't sure, but I knew I'd written about getting tires on my blog, so I went and found out there that we'd bought the tires in March 2011, and they were 70k mile tires, but what I hadn't written there was what mileage our car was at when we bought them, and I was certain I had written that somewhere. I was able to search the archives here and find the March 2011 thread and read through it.
It was actually really tough, because that was the month we lost our Smokey dog, and you were all so supportive. But I also found my post about the tires, and now know that my current tires should have about 15k miles still left on them. So, you are still saving me money.
Anyway, that's it. I'll be back next week.
