It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.

OMG, Kent! I sure hope someone saw something that will help to get these monsters caught! Those poor people. Just trying to be kind and friendly and look what happens. I understand your need to curse. I've got it too!

Take the carp about guns to Politics, EVT1. It's not relevant here. There are plenty of other threads to rant about guns in.

That the elderly couple allowed the two low lifes into their home the following day after they knew the two probably stole the wallet the previous day concerns me. The elderly are often too trusting, be it to strangers at the door or scammers on the phone and Internet.

sorry, but i am not watching that video. 18 people die of starvation every minute. they will never reach 90.
not that i have no sympathy. i do. it is sad when people die. and i am sure the circumstances are gripping and tender. but.....

Somebody's grandma and grandpa. I hope I retain the wariness to not open the locked door unless I'm expecting someone.

The elderly are often too trusting, be it to strangers at the door or scammers on the phone and Internet. Concerns me also. My mother is getting up there in years. I don't think she'd be easily intimidated or convinced to let strangers in, but I do wonder sometimes. More than likely, she'd beat them senseless with a ball bat. Man...would I be angry if sometime victimized her in this manner. Those poor people.

It's deplorable that someone would do this to anyone, let alone a couple in their 90's. Many are very trusting and welcome to having visitors.
To have this happen to them turns my stomach. I won't comment on what EVT1 or djAdvocate had to say.
