It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.

Hard to know. If he is wounded, ISIS won't admit it, so we may never be sure.

Kill one ISIS leader and more are in the wings to take charge, let alone two new ISIS fighters for each one killed. Like any other terrorist group, the battle against them will be going on for years.

BE careful at 1:43pm EDT on December 23rd, I was on MSN.ca and I clicked onto a ISIS story and got a redirect virus. It was a story on the treatment of Yazidi woman and girls by ISIS. All my security caught it.
That is what tried to change my computer settings.
It was titled "ISIS sexual violence leaves Yazidi girls Traumatized" from Deutsche Welle

Kidnappings are very much likely to happen no matter what part of the World you are in. Middle East had always been a hot spot for such things. As the article notes many West European governments are even set up to pay ransoms on demand so there is a great deal of cash to be made aparently. As a journalist, Foley knew very well the risks he's taking when he went there and clearly accepted them. Bad luck for them that they ended up as trading chips for an organization that cares none about the rest of the world. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain and horror the hostages and their families are going through especially in a case where all ends with decapitation and even worse a made public one. ISIS wants to bring back something long gone and with it it's outdated, barbaric, horrific methods of dealing with others considered somewhat "the enemy". As barbaric it may sound, torture is still being done, even by the "good guys" to extract information. It is being done to military personnel or civilians alike with no discrimination. The sad part is that there are individuals who "specialize" in techniques for that and get to the point to enjoy it. Is ISIS a horrible organization by doing that? Sure but so is everybody else including us!
