I'm certainly glad today of all days was the one where I had time to check in on the boards. Oh the things I'd have missed. You guys don't hurt yourselves while I'm gone.

The article is misleading. Transgenders are not gay. They are transgenders, especially when they have had sex change operation. For this woman to be gay, she would have to be having a personal relationship with a woman. She is not. She is supposedly married to a man according to the provided link.

Trans-gender and Gay is a double-negative - and don't belong in the same sentence.
There ARE people born with physical or genetic anomalies that may not be visible -- but that does not translate to "Gay".
Read some medical research on Trans-Gender persons - you might become enlightened.
Her only downfall was converting to such a restrictive and strict religion that doesn't understand or tolerate acceptance.
As for her appearance (you describe her as "masculine" looking) - she looks plain (no cosmetics or jewelery, stylish clothing) but so do hundreds of thousands of other women who walk this planet.
Put them in a robe and Burka and see how much better they look.

I get so confused with that stuff.
There was an article a bit ago about a couple where he used to be a she and she used to be a he and then they had kids.... I almost had to draw pictures to figure out which one ended up carrying the babies and who was mommy and who was daddy.....
Also, if the technology wasn't there, wouldn't transgender people actually be gay?
Yeah, I am very confused

I should have known. Never underestimate the depravity of modern Western culture. And speaking of offensive- this person's head will come right off should any ISIS types find it. The fact is, be happy we all live in the west where you can be as absurd as you want and live through it.

Do you even know how offensive that it? Get a sense of humor. Gimme a break. There's nothing humorous about an offensive statement, IMO. I'm not even smiling. I'll bet I'm not alone.

I, however, don't see it in the same places you appear to see it.

My test for offensive: would I call a transgendered person a She-ite to their face? No. Then I probably shouldn't call them that.

Prosperity, coupled with the notion that freedom is nothing more than an empty licentiousness is going to eventually lead to our complete destruction. When you are so devoid of compassion that you'll tolerate even the most depraved and self-destructive behavior from someone, then you're the one that needs a lesson in love and compassion. I love the scene in Breaking Bad when Jesse is at the recovery group meeting and he finally lays it out- that he's there to sell them meth. That they're nothing more than customers to him. That he made the leader his bitch. He was going through an attack of conscience, and he just desperately wanted someone to confirm for him what he already knew: Your behavior is not acceptable. What you're doing is wrong. People need boundaries. There's nothing wrong with putting up a fence around sexuality instead of installing a gate and leaving it open. I know we've come a long way in our thinking about sex, and we've relaxed quite a bit-- but in my opinion, we haven't done anyone any favors. And as tolerant as some of you claim to be-- the fact is that I have a right to my views, I have a right to express them, I suspect many of you agree, but you lack the courage to say so, and if you truly believe 'to each their own', then disagree-- but let's not call names, and put labels on an opinion simply because you don't understand or relate to it. I'm a fuddy duddy. I readily admit this. I don't think 5,000 years of Judeo-Christian culture in the west was wrong on sex because of a blip in time where 3% to 5% of the world's population had a spasm and decided anything goes.

The difference of course is that I have no desire to lop anyone's head off. I might, however, poke a little fun at them. I would assume someone that decided to become a transgendered gay muslim has a pretty thick skin.

.Well... technically speaking one can be transgender AND homosexual. But they would have to be (pre-operatively) "female in male body, likes females" or "male in female body and likes males" That's not the case here. Here it was (pre-operatively) "female in male body, likes males", which is strictly transgender.

That's two Breaking Bad references- I am just shocked you like the show.
You have your right to views on sex- you do not have the right to control other people's actions. But I'll believe you are Biblically pure on sex as soon as you renounce blowjobs and birth control.

I think Breaking Bad was a great show. It was right up my alley- a morality tale. What you learn about Walter White is that his pride was his real sin. Get over the stupid girl, build the billion dollar company- oh, but no, he had to blow the whole thing up. Then he got handed a job on a silver platter- and look, I understand the feeling of not wanting to be dependent on anyone else; but cooking meth and 'earning it' is the alternative? Gimme a break. Walt was, like a lot of really smart people, so smart that he was an idiot. I did greatly appreciate the way he did away with Lydia, though.

I didn't find it remotely humorous either - in fact I found your She-ite wording quite distasteful.
